Proposing a new area to post topics

Another website with not nearly as many users had a forum area under project devolopment called "Work Wanted" Where users would post their skills, and other users would request to use those skills for their projects.

I think this is a wonderful idea as it makes project lead's lives easier looking for team members. I would love to see this added to the main forum directory. =)

We already have a Resource Request as well as Classifieds forum.

To add to this, Resource Showcase is where people have resource shops - which is exactly what you describe. People who run their shops take and fill requests from members. :)

Can we get a foe list added to our profiles?

No, this isn't high school. Grow up. Or, keep one yourself! :D

Downfall of the community here saying this would just be splendid, what an upshot, spectacular, mature request in this.

I don't think that's a good idea. We shouldn't condone or encourage ignoring people (or putting people on a 'foe' list) who critique or challenge them, which is what it seems you would like to use the feature for.

Besides, even if you got this feature, you'd be on most people's foe lists for coming up with bad ideas and never seeing them through, stealing scripts and posting them on your own site without permission, and throwing a fit if someone offers an opposing view to yours.

You should be looking inward, before you fling blame outward.

That doesn't sound like a very good idea. Isn't there an option to block other users?

A "foe list" sounds far too bitter and childish. People shouldn't be seeking enemies, rather, they should be trying to foster positive relationships with people within a community. Having a "foe list", simply makes the forum look like an unfriendly environment for future members.

What does your post have to do with proposing a new area to post topics? Our posts are relevant in the sense of why his suggestion is a bad idea. It's totally on topic. Take your sword and shield elsewhere Ser Knight of White.

On topic with the proposing to an area to post topic? I don't think so. And don't ever white knight me "Sir". But since you want to post something that is relevant to Shin's I will. Set it to ignore. And back to the original topic, we don't need a new area, its already fine the way it is. No one likes change here, let alone something that messes with the system.
