Can this be integrated into the Yanfly Options Core options menu?
    Yes.

I haven't actually tested to see if smart man Turan already implemented that as a basic feature of the plugin or not.
    Me either :stickytongue:

Most of it can just be copied from existing options like Command Remember. You can actually copy the entire line from the Structure List window, paste it below, then change the Name, Symbol, and Help Description.

    Symbol: profanityFilter
  2. Unfortunately, I have explicitly (ha) avoided using crude language in my game :kaocry: Not because I am a prude - like the Fish, I too have a potty mouth. But the game is geared toward a more general audience.
Anyways maybe in a future project I can use this, I'mma keep an eye on it.

Appreciate the info on Options Core, it will surely help someone, if not future me.

Ironically I developed kind of a mild swearing problem myself for a while. I'm doing it a lot less though, with practice...used to use the F-bomb a lot when I was angry, unfortunately. Usually I would be swearing at my computer whenever it did something that really pissed me off. I would call it every name in the book. Recently read an article that said scientists have discovered that swearing is negative energy and can shorten our lifespans so I've majorly cut back on the bad language since then. Plus I got tired of hearing myself constantly swear. Heck, I hate it when people are foulmouthed around me, too.
  4. Yeah, must f/ckin suck to have a bunch of goddamn b/stards b/tchin up a storm around you. All that negative energy puts my chakras in the sh/tter

Jesus f****** Christ...your cussing is just as bad as mine used to be-God damn! XD

Ok I'm done now. No more swearing from either of us. Don't want to get banned......and besides, this is going to get old REAL quick, not just for us, but for everyone else on this forum. Seriously, though that was kind of funny.

Either I'm already f*****g dead and my personal hell is just really s****y , or I'm already f****d and I dont have much longer left to live.

Congratulations. With that language now you're probably going to die when you're 60 LOL. XD

Seriously, it probably won't shorten it by THAT much, but you might live to only be 70 or 80 when you could have lived to be 90-something. Also typing swear words doesn't count, fortunately. Although to be honest you're probably just joking around.
  8. 1. Let’s be on topic.
    2. Science journalism is garbage.
    3. Probably really should tone it down.
  9. Imagine FFVII PSX with such feature, all we would laugh at Cids dialog. Wonderful plugin.
  10. I was curious, this works perfectly (and really fits the comic book vibe for my own project), but I noticed it doesn't seem to work on Yanfly's Gab Windows. Is it doing something different with how it's presenting text or something?

oh are edits allowed? I needed to change the word length to >2 so it wouldn't censor words like it and us lol...

Yes, the Gab windows are made differently, but I just uploaded a version that should work with them. Give it a try, let me know if it works or has any problems.

You may certainly edit for your own use but I'm a bit confused by the situation - it should only censor words that are complete matches for what you defined in the plugin parameters.
  12. I noticed with say a word like the s--t, it seems(?) like the plugin is looking for as long as more than 2 letters in a row match the word listed in the plugin match... it'll filter it. so in that word's case, "it" get's filtered. or P---y... "us" was getting filtered in normal text.

and I'll go check the new plugin in just a sec and edit this post once I know it works or not.

EDIT: ok, Gab Windows now work too. thanks! and here's an example of what I mean from above in picture form...

    profanity.png

for some reason, "us" is getting filtered... except for the last one you see. It should say, "Wave tricked us" and later "ambushed". odd the us afterwards is not filtered. I dunno if it's how I put the words in the filter or if the Grawlix is doing something weird.
  13. @zerobeat032 Y'know, I wrote this plugin so long ago I forget what my thought processes were :stickytongue:

You're right, and I did that intentionally so that you wouldn't have to separately define s%@t, s@&tty, a$$, a#%hole, etc.

Bumping up the word length number on lines 106 and 125 ought to help get rid of those false matches.

If you get them in annoying places, I can make a parameter to toggle only matching the exact words you specify.
  14. ahh ok, that makes sense tho why you'd do it that way. the only problem with upping the word length is a letter or so disappears... like the amount of letters a@& becomes %$ instead. If you're able to a parameter would be pretty great, but only if you've got the time.

It's a fast addition - try out version 1.3, let me know if there are any issues.

works perfectly from what I'm seeing, thanks a lot!
