Problem with showing image

  1. Hi everyone :) I am very new to Rpg Maker VX Ace. I make some things successfully but I have a lot of problem with images.

I have one image that I want make it show in two differents places. I display this image successfully, with no problem. But it seems that, for any reason, one of those has not the same size at the same as they are displayed with the same x coordinate, and zoom factor. Only y coordinate is different.

I don't understand why, I tried to display it with code instead, but I have the same problem. To make you understand, I uploaded the result, For event, I simply call the show image function with the same parameters (x, zooms, alpha etc..) for both except the y coordinate. This is like Rpg maker for some reason change the zoom of one of those.

    Thank you for your help.

PS ; and sorry for my.....english.

  2. Are you sure that's not just an optical illusion?

It's difficult to see in your screenshot, so I can't decide if the two HUD frames are the same size or if one is a pixel off...

Show us screenshots of the event placing them, that will show us what you did and if there really is a difference.

If there is a difference it will be the result of zooming - it's better to make the pictures the real size you need outside the RM and use unzoomed pictures...
  3. They look the same size to me. Sure it's not just a visual trick caused by the end being angled instead of straight up and down?

Yep, I just copied your screenshot and opened it in an image editing program. They are exactly the same.
  4. Do you mean the size of the status bars do not seem to be the same size?

Gosh, they look the same size to me.

And it makes sense for them to be placed the way they are if you used different Y coordinates.

Is that the problem you are having? The dimension/size of the bar in the upper left corner?

    I was DOUBLE ninja'd!
  5. So I'm guessing they are exactly the same and it's just an optical illusion, or there are three of us who can't tell that they're obviously different :D
  6. Oh my god ! I am very silly. You are right, this is just an optical illusion because of the end being angled.

I try to do the same thing with the same image with  some java code, and an other time, in an other maker software and the "problem" is the same.

I don't know why I did not just think about that. I am very very sorry, May be I 'm a donkey  B)

Thank you, your comments have helped me to get on track.

    Sorry again !
  7. We are all donkeys when we are trying so hard to make things work sometimes.

    Good luck on your project!
  8. Optical illusions are great :)
