Pressing CTRL won't work as intended

  1. Got a new computer, as my old one died.
Once I started using RPG Maker MV I realized that pressing 'CTRL' which would usually allow for walking through walls and ignoring enemy encounter no longer works as intended.

    • I am using the most up to date (1.6.1) steam version of RPG Maker MV.
    • My game has not been deployed.
    • All other debug functions appear to be working fine.
    • Pressing 'CTRL' does not allow walking through walls and does not ignore enemy encounters
I have a feeling it could have to do with my new computer, however the 'CTRL' key works fine otherwise, as I've used it for keyboard shortcuts such as 'CTRL + C' and 'CTRL + V' and it works as intended.

If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated, thank you! :kaohi:
  2. That means one of the core scripts in your project isn't version 1.6.1. You'll need to update them.
  3. Thank you for your response. How can I update the core scripts?
  4. Usually people make a new project then copy them over to their project. Exact directions are in the 1.6.1 MV Update though, and I'd reference that before attempting it.

Wish I could be more precise, but I'm still on ACE and haven't updated MV from 1.1 for that reason. Yep, mine is in the stone age.
  5. Thank you very much! :kaojoy:
Everything works great now, all I had to do was search up which files to replace and now the 'CTRL' debug tools work great!
