  1. Hello this is my first post and I have only had rpg maker for a couple weeks. Enough time to fall in absolute love with it. I have always dreamed of making a game and have decided to finally do so but I realized I am going to need help from good friends. I purchased the official plugins below from this site for $200 and have spent the last 3 days trying to get them to work. Sleeping a total of 3 hours the first 2 days.... I have watched every youtube related video and google post on plugins. Plzzz help...

I beleive it to be system failure of some kind but have little knowledge of software. I have an 8 core cpu so I didnt think much of the downloads. I loaded all the plugins at same time. Extracted all the zips with Hamster at the same time. Then copy and pasted all of them from downloads to a documents folder I named rpg plugins. Then I went into rpgmv and opened project>js>plugins. Once again copy and pasted all plugins at once. I then went to plugin manager>general settings and could not see any of my plugins. I tried everything I could think of. Deleting and reloading. Putting zip files in instead of unzipping. Unzipping in different ways. Adding .js so every file. Taking out doc, pdf and read me files from folders. All kinds of stuff that would make a software geek cringe. After finally getting fed up and convincing my self its a complete system failure. I deleted everything and completly cleaning my computer like new. I created all new folders to keep everything clean and reinstalled rpgmv and all the plugins 1 at a time to keep from having any software issues hopefully. Did everything just as srdude, drifty and echo does it. Watched all there videos multiple times thinking theres got to be something i'm missing. I finaly get everything down and a couple of gallons of coffee in I am finally ready to try once more. Open project>js>plugins>copy and pasted medieval dungeons. Then went into plugin manager>general settings and there it was! Screaming and scaring my 2 small children I have done it! Medieval dungeons was on the list. I selected it and nothing... It would show it as selected but have no description of any kind or parameters. Everything is on. Other plugins that come free with install all work I assume as parameters and description show up like normal. From there I would try every plug in by it self while deleting the previous and sometimes try multiple. Really just trying to create as many different situations as possible. I have no unofficial downloads of any kind and have never used a plugin before but do to my vicious efforts and long hours into this seemingly easy peaszy task I feel like a world renowned expert on plugins. Could there be something I am missing or is it a software issue? Please help me and you think you can. I am a plumber on an assembly line for camper trailers. I work long hours but I get up at 3 every morning to write lore for my game and learning rpg maker. I will respond early in mornings before work and later in day after work. I will do anything you ask. I will be detailed as possible and upload screen shots if needed. I want this more than anything. This to me is more than just a game. Its a way to finally express my emotions and tell my story. Anyone who can help me I would be very humble to have met you and will not forget!

  2. I've moved this thread to Plugin Support. Thank you.

  3. Those are not plug-ins. Some of the are tilesets, and some are songs. Tilesets need to be in the appropriate directory to be noticed, and then you can only load them into the appropriate tab. You'll need to read the help file to learn what A tiles vs B - E tiles are to better understand this.

For songs, put them in the right music directory. Some are meant to be as songs, some are sound effects, and some are ME's, you'll have to look at each to see which they are, or maybe listen to them first and decide which one you want them as (I myself have a couple short song snippets as ME's in my game).
  4. As said above, you purchased DLC, not plugins. Plugins are javascript files that change how the engine functions, looks, acts, or adds to it. You purchased resources like character parts, tiles, buildings, music and such.
  5. I believe some of PV Games’ packs come with plugins.
  6. He's old vxace stuff came with some scripts, the new stuff doesn't as all the plugins are available for free.
