I'm with ya on that one, gonna try my best though. ;) :rock-right:

I guess it will just really depends what the "theme" is.
  3. Well, its actually 4 days. because 3 days are saved for voting. I could probably announce theme at the beginning of the voting period for the round before, but people will then be working on sprites when they don't know if they are even still in.

Hmmm.... yeah good point.... well I guess either way would be fine. :)

Personally I would like to know the theme at the beginning of the voting period for the round before.

Even if I don't go on, I'd still probably finish the sprite & just release it to the public anyway. BD
  5. I have a sprite half finished. I can submit it Sunday night. I'm working a double shift today. :p
  6. My entry is in. I don't know if I'll be able to do a sprite a week but I'll try :D
  7. I'm joining :) it looks awesome~
  8. I am going to make one and try to enter it. be my first real sprite i guess. aiming to finish mon and submit tuesday. hopefully the rest of the deadlines will allow for weekend work too.
  9. I'll try, but I have so little free time nowadays  :(
  10. So what happens when everyone gets DQ'ed for not being able to make a sprite every four days?

    lol, good question... ;)

I was kind of thinking about that myself. I think I'll be able to keep up though. :)
  12. I have college and a job. I have my doubts about myself.
  13. Last time I ran this two years ago, we had a total of 1 person get DQed for not submitting a sprite during the tournament rounds. The schedule was done the same. Also, the schedule is intentionally designed to give you the four days over the weekend, (Fri-Mon) to do your sprites.

I can extend it to a full week though and announce the themes at the start of the voting period for the last round if people want, as long as they don't mind working on sprites even when they might already be out of the tournament.
  14. My busiest work days are Friday through Sunday (waiting tables) so I would love to know the theme ahead of time.
  15. Alright, well, I'll make sure themes get announced to allow a full week to help people out.
  16. Oh cool, so is this qualifying round going to be finished this Sunday?

Also, are we restricted to a color palette? Only because I remember seeing a color palette on the Base resources, and they

    were lame.

I'll see if I can get a sprite in this week, I would really like to brush up on my pixel art skills.
  17. I'm assuming you can use any palette you want, as long as it's designed like a sprite should be.

Too bad I'm so busy lately, dunno if I'll have time to create a sprite each week but I might try.
  18. I'm really looking forward to your entries. Both of you are very talented.
  19. I've been reserved in relation to entering this because I'm not really a sprite creation person, but is it still open, for participants?

I wouldn't expect to get anywhere, but you know, it's not about who wins. It's about who has the most chocolate... um, or something.
  20. It's definitely still open c:
