Pirate Ship Tileset MV

  1. So I've seen a few posts about this but I'm not sure what to make of the responses, could be that I'm just really tired, but I'm going to pose my problem here and hope that someone can help me.

I just bought the Pirate Ship Tileset (<--- Link) because I like the set and want to use it for my D&D map making. (I'm using MV to make stagnate D&D maps)

I imported the tileset properly however it seems like some of the tiles are slightly out of sync with the squares, so I can't actually build the ship properly. It also looks like some of the tile pieces might be sitting on top of other pieces, or at least too close to grab one without the other.

Is there a way to fix this in MV or do I need a separate image program? If I need an image program, does anyone know of a free one I could use to get the job done? I'm not looking for fancy bells, just looking to fix the problem.

I wasn't sure how to do the "Spoiler" image display so I just added the phots as attachments.

  2. Sorry to burst your bubble amigo, but this tileset is optimized for VX ACE, which uses 32x32 dimensions, in comparison to MV's 48x48.
Your only option is going to be to try and resize them (by 1.5x their current size), but that could lead to some other issues...

What kind of issues are we talking here?
  4. I've moved this thread to MV Support. Thank you.

You could get stray pixels which will show up in the map. The resize may not be completely clean, so the tiles won't look as good sized up. I would search the forums for threads on how best to size up and see what works best for you. There are plenty of them here. And for future reference, all graphic packs in the store are clearly marked as to which engine they are made for.
  5. Yeah I didn’t see the “optimized for ace” until literally just now when you said it was on there.
