PiNG 2.0.4 [ w/online features ]

■ Summary:

PiNG is a remake of the classic arcade game 'Pong'. The main difference between this an other versions of Pong, ours was made using the RPG Maker Vx Ace Engine. Dekyde Studios initially brought this classic to the RPG Maker System in 2o13 within a mere three weeks.. In 2o14 the system was updated once more to include additional features.

- Classic Pong Mode.

- Normal Mode -better AI than classic mode.

- Hard Mode - better AI and much harder than normal mode.

- Online High Score Leader Board.

- AutoPatching

Leaderboards are the devil.. my ocd says I must rank! and I think... mlogan has some ocd with scoring as well ;)

Lol yea, leaderboards are good for getting a little rivalry going.
And it would seem as though mlogan is determined to top your scores :p

It shouldn't be too hard.. I swear on Normal and Hard modes I can't score! :o Most of the points are from hit times in a round

Who me?!? What?!? Trying to beat top scores? I don't know why you'd ever think such a thing...

*cough* second place in normal mode *cough*

NOTE :: I just uploaded version 2.0.1 - which fixes the known issues - or at least it should. Also - backwards compatibility is probably not possible - if it is, the highscores will be shown backwards, just for s and giggles :D

Cool. I can't wait for your guy's trading card game. I wanted to make one myself but it was incredibly hard/possibly imposible to do by eventing, and there were no scripts for it. Hope to play yours when you are done. Looking at your card game page thing, right now. :)

Not at all wondering if I need to (not obsessively) go check and defend my scores...

Hey, sorry for the lack of reply from me in this thread.
There was a few small faults with the previously released version of this game, so I have been hard at work fixing those.

The game has now been updated and I am pleased to say - your highscores will now be properly accepted - if they rank of course.

As the more observant of you may notice - this game now has an 'autopatch' feature, so if your connected online it will auto update the patch and install it. essentially, if you download this version, you should not have to download another copy of the game, cause if any patches need done, the game should handle that itself.

Unfortunately, the game does still require administrator rights to run (not sure why), but yea.. As long as you run the game in admin mode, everything will function fine and you can get your scores on the board! :)

Imo though, no one will beat the monkeys score on classic mode. At least no time soon :D

Would it be wrong to point out that you beat Monkey on hard mode? and curse you Pong Fan!! You knocked out my ranking scores

Oh no venka - The score of 'Dekita -111' was the initial top score set when I released the game. That is not a 'legitimate' score - was more of a benchmark to aim for :D

Also - what ya think of the new autopatching? ;)

I think it's awesome ;) And I'm sure it'll be useful in so many ways down the road with your other games

Oh, for sure.

All the functionality is now there, so now its just a case of making it alot more elaborate and 'exotic' :D

Got this error after downloading the newest version and running the game:

Script 'DEK::patch line 29: Errno::EACCES occurred.

Permission denied - Patches

Pretty sure that would be caused by not running the game in admin mode. :p
