    Spoiler
Notes:11:55 AM: What happened in Leila's House? I pressed Z on the right chair and table, and suddenly punches were heard and appeared in inn.

12:07 PM: Lol, on first gameplay, I sleeped a lot, not knowing that it advanced the time to say what I found. I found about that, "they suicided because they believed that sacrificing for 5 years consecutively, they would get superpowers. Didn't found about other members".

12:20 PM: Happened again the punches thing while going through Karl's house. What is that? I notice that events and find things change, like before that, you can't find the Five Pillars book, but after that, you can. Some events are disabled also.

    12:32 PM: *hehe*

    Notes found:

    *hehe*
  5. Happy birthday is an rpg maker game. You can find it in the download center.
  6. @Michael - Oh. Thanks for bringing those passability bugs... I'll upload a fixed version when I get the time. XD

    Secret. Sssshhhh...

Yes, events are time/day varied. Different things happen at different moments. Else you could probably obtain everything in just 1 day if ur fast...

PS: Could you remove the last note on the spoiler and also the notes found... :)

PS 2: Uploading the fixed version, it should be up in a while

Follow if you would like to know when I go live!
  9. Oh. Nice. Thanks. I hope you enjoy it. :)

Can't watch though as I'm at work...
  10. hey so I played your game.  You can watch the archive whenever you want.  I'm also uploading it to youtube.  I gave my thoughts as I played.  There were a few spelling issues and stuff so I hope it helps.  I enjoyed it.
  11. I'll take a look at it when I get the time to go home (probably next next week or so). Thanks for playing btw, all the more doing a let's play, I really appreciate it. :)

I just don't know if I had a backup of the project file itself, coz my old laptop died... :)
  12. Tried it out for a bit.

1-Smooth out the text color/outline, it harms the game a LOT.

    2-Speed up things.

3-Add sound effects, everythign feels very quiet and sleepy.

Overall: it feels bland. Try to work in some player engament or drum up INTEREST for your tasks. It felt very dry and bland.
  13. How do I do number 1?

And what kind of sounds do you think would be nice? :)

everythign feels very quiet and sleepy.
Exactly the ambiance that I want the place to resonate...
  14. No, not quiet as in a quiet town, quiet as in this game is not interesting and it makes me wanna sleep. it's not a good choice for a game if it slowly bores the player away.

Either edit the Main script to disable the outline or edit any text scripts you have, or manually edit the very first colour in your windowskin.

As for sound: add stuff when you inspect, when you ineract, when you FIND stuff. I dunno man, try to make things a bit more engaged, it was all so detached. Check out other adventure/investigation games to see how they do it.
  15. Nice detective game. it's a bit short and straighforward. Maybe you can consider adding on usage of key items, and throwing in some red herrings to spice up the game? I like the BGM. The music gives the game a nice small town feel with a hint of mystery.

    Small issue :

If the player uses the action button in front of a rock, he will be shown hammering it.
  16. @Susan - That was intentional. It took me a while to event all those rocks (Coz I forgot about common events). XD It is short, yes, because I just tried to see what I can do in about a week or two. I might do another one, which would be much longer and will have the problems here fixed if I get the time coz I'm really busy right now.

Anyway, I can't edit it right now as I've lost my back up of this...
  17. Well, it's a pretty nice game with appealing visuals. I'll wait and see what you have in store next.
  18. my actual next game already in development would be this: GSoD

PS: If anybody has suggestions on nice mystery games to play, I'd be glad. The only game of this kind that I played before would be MCF: Return to Ravenhearst, I've yet to use those elements in a game though (all those puzzles and creepiness, I hate horror actually but I really liked that game)
  19. Thanks for link. Looks interesting. The image of your logo and the first battle map seems to be broken unfortunately.

In regards to mystery games, there quite a few around. It depends on what kind of mystery appeals to you. There are some that are quite light-hearted despite being mystery games.

If you want something a little dark, try gabriel knights and the blackwell series. They are adventure games with mystery elements.
  20. You should try happy birthday. You can find it in the download center of this forum.
