I really hope I'm putting this in the right forum . . .
So, I am ATTEMPTING to purchase some of the graphics resource packs from the RPG Maker store, specifically the "Modern Day Tiles", "Modern Shop Add-On", and "Furutistic Tiles" packs. But whenever I attempt to checkout, it displays the following message: Payment could not be processed, please check the details you entered.
O~O
I can't use my credit/debit card OR PayPal account, and I have tried at least ten times now, tried resetting my internet connection, tried emptying my shopping cart and adding the items again, resetting my browser . . . And nothing seems to work. I don't know who I need to get in touch with, or how, to ask about this problem, so any assistance is helpful. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so how did they fix it?
Payment could not be processed, please check the details you entered: Help, please?

Have you asked PayPal if that is a problem on their side? In my experience similiar error messages appear when the paypal account is blocked by paypal.
If that is indeed something on this store, you have to send a support ticket - the people responsible for the shop CANNOT answer on the forum, that would break several privacy laws. -
Okay, I'll check out things with PayPal.Have you asked PayPal if that is a problem on their side? In my experience similiar error messages appear when the paypal account is blocked by paypal.

How do I go about sending a support ticket? I really am kind of lost here . . . -
Well, posting here is still good, because I think they get a LOT of support requests each day and sometimes it takes a while to get to things. At least posting here, the admins can see that help is needed and advise on further action (sometimes the do ask you to log a support ticket, sometimes they'll PM you).
Is your paypal account attached to your card or to your bank account? Does it have the correct card details? Hasn't expired and needs to be updated? Have you transferred funds into your paypal account? Is there enough there to cover the cost AND the exchange rate, if you're in another country? So many possibilities. But I think getting money into your paypal account first might be a good thing to try.
To send a support ticket, go to the SUPPORT link in the top right corner, and choose Contact Us > Sales Support :) -
Click on "Support" top right edge of the site, then select "sales support" and fill out the form - place something like "not yet bought" into the serial number fieldHow do I go about sending a support ticket? I really am kind of lost here . . .

It's linked to the bank account, and I checked to make sure that the details were correct and that the card is still good. (It's good until 2015.) I just used my card a few days ago on eBay (and paid via PayPal), and there were no problems.Well, posting here is still good, because I think they get a LOT of support requests each day and sometimes it takes a while to get to things. After a little more digging, I found a topic from about a year ago where someone had this exact same problem, and they ended up having to purchse through Steam. O~O I would really prefer not to do that, as I know nothing about how Steam works . . . -
Thank you so much. If I can't figure it out soon, I'll send them a message.Click on "Support" top right edge of the site, then select "sales support" and fill out the form - place something like "not yet bought" into the serial number field

I'm going to throw out a suggestion that might seem absurd, but are you CERTAIN that you had the right type of card in there (Visa, MasterCard, etc)?
Not that I would know anything about the frustration of getting multiple error messages because of that. Nope I would never do such a silly thing. ;) -
Yeah, I'm sure . . . I WISH it was something so simple, but my card even has "VISA" printed in the bottom corner. :(I'm going to throw out a suggestion that might seem absurd, but are you CERTAIN that you had the right type of card in there (Visa, MasterCard, etc)?

I think mlogan means when you select your payment type. I've also been known to leave Mastercard selected when it should have been Visa, or vice versa.

I tried it again, but I can't even find where it's giving me the option to select one.I think mlogan means when you select your payment type. I've also been known to leave Mastercard selected when it should have been Visa, or vice versa.

Sounds like a problem with PayPal. I would reach out to them.
-
Another thing to add... The payment is going to Japan, and some banks/cards have a system in place where they will automatically refuse foreign payments - it's their form of early fraud detection, since a lot of the fraudulent charges often happen outside your country of residence.
So, you may also need to contact your bank and see if they're blocking the payment on their end, too. :) -
@ Nathaniel B.
It doesn't seem to be a problem with the Paypal system . . .
@Lunarea
It doesn't seem to be something on the bank's end, either. Ive bought from foreign vendors before, and they say there shouldn't be any reason I can't this time. I'm pretty much at a loss here. Guess Ill just wait and try again in a couple of days. (I'm still waiting to hear back from the sales support message I sent.) -
And the transaction is failing on our end or PayPal's?@ Nathaniel B.

If the URL of the page you're getting an error on is a paypal.com one then it's not on our end . . .
I also couldn't see it being a problem on our end for only one person. We do many PayPal transactions a day, and if there was something wrong on our side we'd have multiple reports by now.
I'd give PayPal a ring . . . -
I don't have any problems with the Paypal part itself. It's only after I've logged into my Paypal and am redirected back to the RPG maker site that I get the error. But that still doesn't explain why it's also getting the same error just trying to pay via my bankcard. If all else fails, I might try deleting my Paypal and opening a new one. I'm going to try contacting Paypal again first, though. And the transaction is failing on our end or PayPal's?

One last question... Are you trying to buy via the forum store or the main store?
-
I'm pretty sure it's the main store. I went to the products tab at the top, then to graphics. That should be the main store, shouldn't it?One last question... Are you trying to buy via the forum store or the main store?

Ah, wait! I THINK I may have gotten it to work by going through the forum store. (Think being the keyword.) But now I have a new problem: Once I've paid for them, how do I actually access them? (Now I feel really stupid . . .)One last question... Are you trying to buy via the forum store or the main store?
See, this is the reason I shouldn't be allowed near anything electronic. I get lost very easily. -
You should receive an email with you key code in it. I believe you download from this site, and then when it prompts put that key code in.
And never delete that email, you don't know when you might need that code again for a reinstall.
