  1. So for my game I have a character who is going to be a Lamia join your party. However I wanted to make it so when you enter into
the cold winter region it disables her essentially. Not really removing her from the party per say but more like sticks her on the side line and you can't use her in battle. The reason for this is she will be cold blooded. I just am trying to figure out how to impliment this mechanic.

    Maker engine: MV
  2. I feel like more details regarding her status are needed.

What exactly would you like her to be able to do and not do?
  3. 'Game Mechanics Design' is for looking at aspects of game play at a more conceptual level. 'How do I...?" (Implementation) questions belong in the Support forum for the engine you are using.

  4. If I understand you correctly, and you just want her to be...there, this is how I would do it.

Give her a state at the beginning of every battle, that makes her not able to act. Basically a stun, but permanently.
Now she will just stand there and not do anything, but enemies can still target her.
In the same state, adjust her target-rate to 0%, and that should fix that as well.

The only problem with this though, is that AOE damage spells/attacks still damage her. So she isn't completely on the sideline.
  5. Disable her as a battle member by reducing the number of party participants in battle. I think there's a plug-in out there that allows for this...

    Hora hora.
  6. @Grunwave @Broozer I would like it to physically disable her from being in battles. Like you will still see her in the menu under your party but you cant have her in the 4 slots that make up your battle party. I don't know if that makes sense. Basically I plan on there being 8 different characters in the party and I want it to basically force you to have to use someone else besides her when in that region.
  7. Couldn't you remove her from the party in battle script then re-add her as part of the victory?
  8. I was going to suggest exactly what Grunwave suggested above.
If you're using random battles from the troop section on the map, then you'll need to remove her at the beginning of the battle.
You can achieve this under the troop section and the event tab. Remove the actor on the first turn.

If you're using events to trigger battle, then just before the "Battle Processing: ...", remove her from the party.
The event command you're looking for is "Change party member."
