I'm glad this is being addressed! As great as MV is, without the ability to parallax map, I wouldn't be able to use it. Somehow I had missed this thread and I've been driving myself crazy trying to run every test I can think of to try and figure out what I might have been doing wrong.

Basically plug in didn't work until I reinstalled MV. -
It works perfectly fine to me? Try redownloading. Don't forget to set parameter to false.

-
That's odd.
I'll just delete MV all together and try a new project with a fresh install and see. -
This Fix works for me,
Tested at map size 1056*672 (22*14) compared in Photoshop, virtually no difference from original!
Thanks! -
After reinstalling RPG maker MV the plug in works for me.
Thank you for solving the issue so quickly, it's appreciated.
Which means a whole weekend full of mapping and trails in the sky SC. -
It works! Thank you! (I didn't have to reinstall, worked immediately.)
-
Works beautifully! Thanks so much for your continuous hard work Archeia!

For those of you who have used this plugin, are you running the Steam version of MV or the stand-alone version? I'm not sure if that even matters, but I am using the OS X Steam version, and I cannot get it to work :( I am also running the foreground plugin, and have tried rearranging everything in the plugin manager, as well as reinstalling MV altogether :( I REALLY want to use this plugin! Thanks SO much to Archeia for getting this to us :D

I'm using stand-alone, Win7., Kaus parallax plugin.
-
Ok, I have tried everything I can think of. I switched to using Kaus parallax plugin instead, reinstalled MV (3 separate times), and am still having issues! Here is a screen shot of whats going on...

It even looks different in the editor than it does in PS?!?! Am I just stupid, or am I way off on something?
Still haven't fixed the brightness difference issue, but I downloaded this plugin from a different link, and for some reason that worked! Hallelujah! -
Sorry to bump old old topics, but as a new RPG Maker user I just bumped into this issue, after spending few hours wondering if it's a problem with exporting from GIMP to .png or whatever else. And after almost 4 months of not solving this issue this starts to look a lot like Bethesda's way of solving problems "We left a bug in the game? F*ck it, let modders fix it".
I don't mean to sound like a total prick since the program does lots of other functions pretty well, but one could think this kind of problem should not be left in the final product in the first place. Then again, I don't want to spin a web of disputes and trolling around here. Just wasting hours that could be put into sweet productive work left me a little bitter.
The plugin works great by the way, kudos to the creator! -

Also, the person you are replying to hasn't been on the site for several months, so probably won't see it.
