Hi,
So I just started parallax mapping, and I found some nice parallax tutorials for interiors and forests, but not so much for towns. I'd like to create a nice bustling town like the ones in FF6, but I can't really find any parallax tutorials on towns.
Does anyone know one?
If possible a bit detailed one that also tells you how to fix passability and so on.

Basically there should be no difference between parallax mapping a forest, an interior or a town - you'll just need different pictures/tiles.
There is a map example topic where you can get some ideas how it will look like.
And passability is also handles the same way everywhere - you make a tileset with transparent tiles that have the different passabilities you need, and then after you load the parallax map into the editor, you make it visible in the mapfile and place those invisible passability tiles where they are needed.
Most people make a tilesheet with small arrows showing the passability settings, then use that tilesheet in the tileset for placing the passabilities, and replace it with a fully transparent sheet after all maps have their passability.
