  1. For the past couple of years, I've been on and off playing with RPG Maker and I don't usually get very far, especially with parallax mapping. I've created a room that I've wanted to use for the map in Photoshop, and saved it as both a PNG and a PSD. This is the room.

Now, I do have one script installed, which is HK - Ultimate Overlay Mapping. But as for what to do now I have no idea. I've looked at a lot of tutorials, which have pretty much confused me to no end. A lot or more or less for outdoors with trees, and I'm sure the same rules apply to indoor maps, but I'd like to have someone explain to me one on one how the heck to do this.
  2. I can't help with parallax mapping, but I can point you to a few things that might be the cause for your confusion.

In almost all cases, you need a parallax lock script if you want to use parallax mapping. However, most parallax lock scripts do more than simply locking the parallax, so you need to set the additional options depending on what the specific script you're using needs.

That means that if a tutorial uses a different script, it's descriptions and what you need for the script you're using are most probably different - you'll need a tutorial that uses the specific script you want to use.

That said, please provide a link to the script you're using, I haven't heard about a HK Ultimate Overlay Mapping before - most people around here use different scripts, and without knowing where you got your script we can't even check what it might need for you.
