  1. Orakuru
    My First Game

Orakuru is my main project right now,
Orakuru is an RPG(Role Playing Game) in which follows a boy named Eien Shinkho. Eien has lived in solitude in his tiny town for years. One day he was training with his master as he usually does when his master is ambushed and attacked and killed. The enemies that killed Eien’s master were after the amulet he wears. Eien unleashes his powers and defeats the enemies. Eien discovered the secrets of the amulet. The amulet was later taken from Eien’s possession after learning of the amulets importance Eien set out to find and kill the enemies that took the amulet. If he doesn’t succeed, the world is doomed.

    Help?
Oh god yes, I need help any is acceptable but I really need maps, I am horrible at mapping, and I hate having to use the sample maps.
  2. I'll check it out when I get the chance( probably around thanksgiving.)

I can't provide maps for you but I can give you some pointers.

-The sample maps should be used as just that: samples. They should be used as a source of inspiration.

-I'd recommend looking at a mapping tutorial to start with( the official mapping tutorial is a bit steep) Here's a sample. http://www.rpgmakervxace.net/topic/1176-mapping-in-five-easy-steps-indras-quick-and-practical-method/#entry14164
  3. Alright, I checked it out. Here are my thoughts.

-Why isn't Gordon animated in battle? Being that he's an RTP character, I'd expect that it would be easy to find an animated version of him.

-When Gordon gets killed by the "being" he merely turns around instead of switching to his damaged sprite.

-When the "being" teleports away, he briefly turns into a slime.

-The damage inflicted by the slimes and trolls is negligible, I felt no challenge whatsoever.

-Strong Slash inflicts less damage than Eien's normal attack.

-Amai can't use her fireball skill. It doesn't show up in her skills list.

-The encounter rate in Admanin is way too high.

Lastly, why have the demo end with defeat? You find some super awesome dragon and you're pumped to fight it! However, before you can even move the thing destroys you and the game ends. Bosses are meant to test the player's skill and the tester is probably going to be a lot more satisfied if he/she has one big challenge at the end instead of a lame copout.

Did you play any other RPG maker games before starting this. I'm not talking about stuff like Sweet Lilly Dreams but stuff that serves as an example of what the engine's capable of, such as LegionWood or Heroes Realm.
  4. First, Thanks for playing!

Second, This my first game so your critiques really help.

    - I kinda rushed to get the demo out but after it was released I fixed a few things Gordon being one of them.

    - When I tried switching into his damaged sprite this happens;

KOt0nxz.png-There was supposed to be a battle with a slime next but I took it out, guess I forgot to fix that. Edit - (fixed)

    - Didn't notice until after demo, fixed.

    - Don't know what's going on there. (Gonna fix) Edit - (fixed)

    - I did not test Admanin, my brother did he said it was fine (will fix) Edit - (fixed)

Lastly, The loss is a part of the story, you don't actually lose. I didn't want the "juicy stuff" in the demo.

I played a few other games, got a little inspiration from them.

I'm sorry you didn't like it, I will do my best to improve it.

Thanks for giving it a go, it means a lot! :)
