On-map poison flash/sound with Yanfly's

  1. Alright, I've been hunting for this for a few days and can only find stuff for other versions of RPG Maker, so I figured I would ask. If this has already been covered, then please send me a message with a link to the thread and lock/delete this one... If this is also in the wrong place, I apologize as well.


    I've been looking for a way to make a common event or something that would trigger the usual screen flash and sound effect when someone takes poison damage while walking on the map, but have found no tutorial or info on how to do so. There have been a few mentions of this being a standard feature of RPG Maker, but it's not doing that for me. I have seen mentions of Yanfly's plugins, specifically the core battle engine plugin, causing this not to function. A few posts mention ways to fix this for VXAce and some earlier versions (Or I could have misread), but I haven't seen anything for MV and this particular problem.


    The damage still happens every so often, but there's no indication it is happening, even if it KOs the poisoned actor. Any help on how to fix and/or control this would be greatly appreciated.


    I can provide the rather extensive list of plugins I am using if it will help.

    Sadly, no. I've updated a few things since then, but it still runs exactly as it did before. The affected actors still take damage and can be knocked out from the state, but there's no indication of the damage happening or the actor being knocked out.
  4. Check out my fix that I threw together. It works for mine, see if it works for yours.
  5. Thanks to wrigty, this issue is now solved... though other problems have arisen, this question has been answered.
