Older RPG Makers VS. Windows 10

  1. To make a long story short: I was developing a game, but then my computer basically died. RPG Maker VX Ace and the game were still there (I did not made a backup), so I have no access to these two now (I'm using another computer).
However, I don't want to wait until my old computer gets fixed for me to continue working, so I plan on creating a new game on the new one, and that's where the problem comes:
-- Up to now, I've been using pirated copies of RPG Maker, but after a painful experience downloading a pirate RPG Maker MV (and VX Ace on the old computer, back when it was still working), I decided to only use official copies of RPG Maker, so I go to Steam to buy one. VX Ace and MV are very expensive, so I will use the older ones (minus VX) instead. Sadly, I don't know if they are compatible with Windows 10 64-bit (the only exception being XP, which is NOT compatible with 64-bit OS), their "requirements" section don't mention if tyey are compatible or not (I'm talking about RPG Maker 2000 and 2003. They work on XP/Vista/7/8, but that's on the "minimum" part, there's no "recommended" one).
So, does anyone know if RPG Maker 2000 or 2003 are compatible with Windows 10?

PS: I think there's a humble bundle sale going on right now with steam keys that will make them cheaper for you to buy. Here's the sale for MV, I think it has a couple days left: https://www.humblebundle.com/store/..._layout_index_7_layout_type_twos_tile_index_2

This sale is happening only in US. I live in Brazil (and my Steam account is set in Brazil as well).
  3. Hmmm but I can buy in that humble bundle sale even if Im from asia and my steam is also set to asia.
  4. Tend to agree with Engr. Adiktuzmiko, doesn't matter where you live, you can buy the one on humble bundle.

I can try, altough I think it's too late now (In the worst case, I can always wait for a end-of-the-year sale).

Still 14 hours left on the sale! Go sonic speed to your wallet!

Well... that's the problem, I don't have a job yet, so in order to buy things, I need the help of... those people. With only 14 hours left, I doubt I will be able to convince them to buy this (I can't believe I said that on the Internet). If I knew about that sale yesterday...
  8. It goes on sale every now and then so you probably dont actually need to wait for end of year sale :)

    Thanks.
Well, for now, I will be using my friend's RPG Maker VX Ace, but I will be sure to buy mine (and the DLCs as well) when I have the money.
I would love to create a game on every single RPG Maker (or at least the main ones) just to see how it feels to use each one of them).
  10. Since we do ask you to only use legal versions here, can you use ACE Lite from Steam or the trial for 30 days (from here) for now? I'll try to test 2003 on Windows 10 to give you an answer on that tomorrow.
  11. The only 'problem' I get using RM2K and RM2K3 on Windows 10 is that they're slow to go into full screen window (like 5 second freeze before it goes). Other than that, they work totally fine for me.
