Ok I am positive this has been answered before but I am not even sure what to search to try and find it. I am curious if there is a way to .... well .. make the environment seem "closer" so it looks like the sprites ..tiles ... etc are bigger than they actually are ... does this require an entire new set of tiles ..or is there a way to permanently zoom in on the world .. or ... *sigh* I am so confused right now .. this will be my first game ..fantasy setting .. RPG Maker VX Ace ... thanks regardless of the answers and sorry if this is a total newbie thing to ask .. and really sorry if this has been answered countless times before.
Not even sure how to ask what I am asking

jdh, please avoid double posting, as it is against the forum rules. You can review our forum rules here. Thank you.
And also, please keep your posts to the topic set by the OP
@OP:
It is extremely difficult to change the 32x32 grid for movement and collision detection (some people are working on that, but all tries so far require a lot of experience with the engine to reach even an incomplete free setup.
However, you can use any spritesize as long as you accept that the collision area is only the basic 32x32 pixels - look in the store for the "High-Fantasy"-Products for an example of using sprites that are higher than 32 pixels. -
You could try MGC's Tilemap script which would allow you to zoom in or out of you map. You can use your browser's translation engine to help you understand the language :

However, since you are new to RM, I would suggest that you read through the tutorials first, particularly Andar's tutorial :

There are also a lot of great tutorials you can use available on the forums. -
Thank you for all the help you have provided even just that little bit was enough to answer my question! :)
