New sprite help

So I've got a real question here. There must be some people on this site better with pixel art than I am by far. See, I have a dilemma here, I can do pixel art on things like swords and such just fine so long as I have a base to work off of. Give me people to make sprites for and I don't have the slightest idea. So my idea was to pixelate "myself" into the game. I wanted to make a sprite sheet for a character that somewhat looks like me. Problem is that I don't have nearly the proficiency to d that. I don't care so much about the fa e but what I want is more of a modern look to the character. A T-shirt and jeans you know? Something I would normally wear but I just can't get it right lol. I gave it an honest attempt at least.I can supply a base if you like but if someone could design the clothing I would be most appreciative. I can do the rest from there.



This is more of the kind of thing I was aiming at but unfortunately my sprite creator program is more of an all around thing. It doesn't do too hot when you want a specific type of look in your mind.

True. I'm also looking for it to be a bit modified because a lot of people can tell right off the bat if something is off of the default stuff that rpg maker comes with lol.  Not to sound like a hipster or anything though, but I had hoped for something that wasn't part of the default stuff you can make sprites out of for the engine. If it came down to it though, you are right. This sprite is exactly what I had described that I wanted lol. I guess I'm pretty bad at description.
