hey, my name's Flan. not really, but if you call me otherwise you make me sad

i've been using ig maker as my primary for a long time now, i joined because i think i can find answers here that will help me get better at the engine. i have yet to find anything, but here are my two questions:

how to set custom keyboard controls for igmaker (letters instead of arrows)

how to make music play at the start of the first screen

other than that, consider my introduction hearty, and my needs to-be-fulfilled. i'll be lookin :popcorn:

Welcome, Flan! I think you're the first person I've heard say that IG Maker was their primary engine. From what I gathered, it kind of flopped and there aren't many people using it anymore. Have you heard of Pixel Game Maker? It's a new engine that just came out on Steam that for some reason isn't distributed by the same company as RPG Maker but is part of the Maker series (not sure exactly how that all works). There's some forum posts on here floating around and people seem excited about it. Might be worth checking out.

Thanks man, i appreciate it. i might try to make my first goal here creating a more centralized and easy-to-use guide for IG Maker, as the tutorials don't seem to tell me much about the engine. i'll check out pixel game maker, it might hit the sweet spot for me or just fly off the side like rpg maker 2003, but i thank you for the advice
