  1. Hey guys/girls/gorillas

It is great to see Enterbrain has its own forum. I has been a long time since I used RPG Maker and god, things have changed! The forum is so full I barely have time enough to view it all, oh well.

Let's introduce myself a bit. I'm Dutch. I'm a student who's studying app development in Belgium (mainly because is cheap). I used all RPG Maker's in the past except for Ace. My first one was RM2003 which I used on Windows XP. I got to admit, I did not finished projects with them 'cause of my lack of motivation and time. Yet it was a great experience and a lot of fun!

Things have changed a lot since then (it was like 8 years ago or something) and I hope I'll make changes too! Any questions are welcome if you have some.

    Greetings

    TBJ

  3. Welcome aboard buddy. Feel free to ask if you have some questions too.
  4. Hey guys

Thanks for the replies! Also thanks for the help offer, but I think I'll be fine. However, there is one thing I'm a bit worried about. It's a mind struggle I have for quite some time now. In those years I did not used RM, I learned to develop games from scratch in languages like C# and JS. One month ago, I started to develop a RM-like system from scratch in C# and I thought it would be a good start to create something that look likes RM. Also, the RTP is extremely useful for debugging purposes because it contains every asset I need. When I went to this site to download the RTP, I saw there was an entire community I did not noticed before. So I decided to sign up.

That however, taught me something that scared me a bit away from my progress. I got the feeling, when I rode the most topics here about copyright questions, I shouldn't even be thinking about promoting my project here since it has no connection  with RM itself besides the RTP. But maybe it is just an overreacted thought. So, how about it?

Oh, one more thing. Don't get the whole idea wrong. I really love RM but I'm just a programmer from heart. I know what RGSS can do but I also know what it cannot. Creating my own GUIs and such is a lot easier and faster in C#. Also, in the future I can export the project to multiple operating systems like Linux and Mac and maybe to Xbox, Nintendo and PS too. If I would have 3D assets, I could do the same thing in 3D no-prob.
