  1. Plugin: NeMV - Class TP Rename

    Version: 1.3

    Author: Nekoyoubi

    Release: April 10th 2016

    Download:

    https://raw.githubusercontent.com/nekoyoubi/NeMV/master/NeMV_ClassTPRename.js

    Introduction

    This plugin allows you to rename and recolor HP/MP/TP displays in your game per class. Mages can now have an "Aether", Warriors a "Rage", and Faeries a "Dust" if you so choose!

    Features

    • Simple notetag syntax
    • No extra dependencies
    • Makes things like brutes with a mana pool not look so awkward

    Example Use Cases

    The introduction above should give you a couple of ideas, but in case you missed them here are a few of the examples mentioned:

    • Replace your Warriors' TP with Rage
    • Replace your Mages' MP with Aether
    • Replace your Faeries' MP with Dust (and disable TP for them altogether with Yanfly's Skill Core)

    How to Use

    Add a notetag to your classes that you would like to rename HP/MP/TP on using the following format. Notetags are case insensitive.

    Code:
    Class > Notebox > <HP/MP/TP Rename: NAME ABBRV>

    Examples:

    Code:
    <hp rename: Life ♥>
    <MP Rename: Rage RG>
    <TP RENAME: Surprise !!>

    Bar colors can also be adjusted per class via a similar notetag using the following format. Notetags are case insensitive.

    Code:
    Class  >  Notebox  >  <HP/MP/TP Recolor: LEFTHEXCOLOR RIGHTHEXCOLOR>

    Examples:

    Code:
    <hp recolor: #990909 #ff2121>
    <MP Recolor: #b55010 #ff5000>
    <TP RECOLOR: #080510 #6030bf>

    FAQ

    Q: Does this work with YEP - ______?

    A: Better, even! With YEP - Skill Core you can remove bars that are irrelevant and swap them around so they make more sense. Otherwise, I run an almost full YEP stack by default without issue.

    Q: Is this able to be used in commercial projects?

    A: Absolutely! Wouldn't that be cool?!

    Q: If I use this, do I need to say so anywhere?

    A: If you can make use of my work on any level, then I would absolutely love to know about it, but I make no attribution requirements or the like. NeMV is licensed under the WTFPLv2.

    Author's Notes

    This plugin is the response to a conversation on Yanfly's Patreon posts. In the beginning, I honestly only thought I would just be replacing the TP bars (hence the name). Later I thought of the use case where makers might not even be using the TP system, but would still not want mana-infused warriors; so I broadened its scope a bit to include the other bars as well.

    Happy renaming!
  2. Yay! This is awesome, it gives massive customization and as you've already pointed out is great for swapping both mana and tp AND hp!

    Is there any possibility of being able to also choose the colours per class? It would mean even more Hp, Mp and Tp customization! Yanfly's Core has the option to re-colour the base mp, tp and hp bars, so maybe you could use that as a starting point?
  3. Indeed. Sorry that I didn't post it here, but as mentioned on the initial post (on the Stitch Gaming site), colors are something I certainly want to look at. I just didn't want to go building a McLaren when Mr. Bean's car was all that was wanted. ;)

    Let me see if I can get that in there today... after I finish filing my taxes. ;(
  4. Wow, that's cool, and yes, that makes perfect sence! Don't rush it, have fun! ( Also taxes = (x_x;) )
  5. Taxes are done... *grumble, grumble*... so is the bar recoloring. ;)
  6. Yay! I'll check it out after school and after I sleep, thanks Neko!
  7. Never a problem. I hope it works better than you hope. May you tolerate your school well and thoroughly enjoy your sleep. ;)
  8. Hello. :D
    I've been loyal to this great plug-ins.
    But, the cost display in the skill window With the introduction of the YEP-Skill Cost Item, seems to swap gauge is not working.
    In other words, YEP-Skill Cost Item and NeMV - Class TP Rename will ask the modified so as not to cause conflict.
    Your NeMV - Class TP Rename is a very great plug-ins.
    That's why, I want to use both.
    I am waiting for your reply.
  9. Hey. Great plugin. But I have a problem. It is possible to fix something?

    I'm very sorry, but I don't understand what you are asking. I will try to look into the swap gauge and see if I can find something, though.

    I'm somewhat out of it here (trying to multi-task with work), but I'm not even sure what I'm looking at in that screenshot. May I kindly request a bit more specific information on what needs fixed? It's hard to tell what I'm looking at there.

    Hey. Thanks for the answer, that's exactly what he was talking about pikotan. I use your plugin with NeMV_ClassTPRename + YEP_X_SkillCooldowns + YEP_SkillCore +  YEP_X_EquipSkillTiers + YEP Skill Learn System and YEP Equip Battle Skills my skills are not time will be displayed as a TP value and do not change the color specified in the comments. Can we do something wrong? Here are a couple of screenshots. Correct me if anything is wrong, and I apologize for my English. But I think the problem is a conflict with Equip Battle Skills.

  12. @Crashic, thanks a ton. I can certainly look into this. With the way things are at work for me right now, it may take me a bit, but I will certainly look into it. Thanks again for the more detailed post!
