Need help with Yami's Battle Engine Symphony

  1. I really love this engine, but there's something I really need help with, something that I've seen been asked quite a few times here and there but never actually gotten a proper reply to: How do enable the enemy battlers to be static/stationary? I want them to act like in the Preview Video, where the Slimes just move forwards a few pixels before throwing their attack animation, instead of moving all the way over to the Actor Battlers.

If anyone can give me a proper answer to this and tell me what to edit in the script, I'd be most grateful! c:

I asked for help about this matter a long time ago in the very main thread Battle Symphony but was never given any answer. I still wish to deal with this issue, so is there anyone who knows what needs to be done? I would really appreciate some help.
  2. It also depends on which battler type your using, how you set up the scripts, and  any other added scripts also. aka there are a lot of factors to deal with besides just one thing 99% of the time.
  3. I noticed that upon using skills of Magical type the enemy battlers would do exactly as I wanted; Move forward just a few pixels and then cast the spells. So when I tried copying the normal Attack skill and changed it from Physical to magical it did exactly s I wanted. I however do not wish every attack that the enemy use in the game is going to be base don Magical damage, so if I'm not mistaken it has something to do with Battle Symphony's "Default Physical Actions" and "Default Magical Actions"...? (Not sure if that's what boldpaste2 was referring to)

I'm still very clueless what it is that needs to be changed though, because every guide I read about battle Symphony's tags and what not is still merely confusing me more and more...

    EDIT:

Okay, I fixed it. First I was only able to make the change apply to everyone in battle, even the player characters, which wasn't what I wanted. But after playing around with the Symphony tags in Skill Notes I was finally able to restrict it to specific skills.

    Thanks for the tips!
  4. Moved to script support.
  5. Hey Gyllenborg,

I've been having the same issue as you the past few days (haven't used Symphony before :o   ), and at this point am sick to death of trying to get the enemies to behave correctly. I don't suppose you could share how you managed to get your script working?

Any assistance would be so appreciated!  :D

EDIT: After spending another couple of hours trying to track down my problem, I finally found where I was going wrong. The test enemy I was using had 0 MMP. So embarrassed! Thanks anyway.  :D
