  1. I am new to JavaScript, but I know how to use RPGM fairly well. I don't understand the syntax of JS very much.
I am trying to use Yanfly's Animated SV battlers, and it keeps throwing this error. [1st image]
With no plugins enabled,it throws this error(not a fatal error, but still annoying)[2nd img]

I have almost all of my core game done, and this has me at an impasse until it's resolved.

  2. I've moved this thread to Plugin Support. Thank you.

  3. My apologies.I wasn't sure where to post it.
  4. first problem is wrong directory name
do you see those %20 in the error messages? those are because the space in your directory name "Infinite Domination-0" can't be handled correctly, preventing some functions to be correctly loaded.

For MV-Projects (like all HTML-based games) all directory and filenames have to follow networking rules, which means no spaces, latin letters only, limited number of special signs and so on.

second problem might be incompatibility - what version is your project's core file (open rpg_core.js with a text editor) and what other plugins have you installed in which order (screenshot of plugin manager)
  5. you have two times "community basic", please remove one as any double plugin can cause problems.

does the error happen on "new game" or on "load/continue" or on both cases?
  6. Both cases. I want to fix the index.html error first. I'll work out Yanfly's plugins later. I haven't had any issues with just BattleCore, but trying to use animated SV battlers,it crashes at the start of battle. TypeError
  7. what version is your editor?
and if you open your project folder, is there a folder "www" inside? (I hope not, but if it is you'll need to do several steps to repair your project)

    no www
  9. you don't need to copy everything as screenshots, those are only simpler if it is about events, error messages or the plugin manager. In all other cases stating the version number would have been enough.

One suggestion: can you make a backup of your project and try to update it to 1.5.2?
Do NOT go to 1.6.0 or 1.6.1 - the 1.6.0 has bugs, and while the 1.6.1 is the correct newest version it will change things in compatibility with plugins and more.
But 1.5.2 solved some problems of earlier versions (and was made after the buggy 1.6.0 was released, it's basically a 1.6.0 without the critical changes that were bugged in 1.6.0)

If you have the steam version that can be done in the steam program properties, beta tab.
If you have the standalone version you'll need to search the 1.5.2 update topic here on this board to get the correct installer.
  10. I'll try to update it. I'll keep that in mind. Why does it keep throwing that uncaught typeError - undefined is not a function in the index.html:1 ?
the first line is <!DOCTYPE html>

The line numbers in error messages are where the computer first detects an error - there are usually not where the error really is (unless its a syntax error).
That is why you can't always ignore later messages, sometimes everything is connected.

I hope you already corrected the wrong directory name? because that could be one cause for a problem in index.html. Another woult be an incomplete update with several files not of the same version (which is why I asked you to test the update).
  12. Yes, I corrected the directory name. I made a brand new project, and playtested it. No error. Updated to 1.5.2.
  13. It appears another Yanfly plugin was causing that error. Not sure why.I tested my project with no plugins, and it didn't throw any errors. a few times it said ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND for pixi-picture.js,pixi-tilemap.js etc but it picked it up
  14. I've gotten it all sorted, and my first alpha build is ready for testing!
