I use my real name all over the place, so yeah: Nicholas Adam Palmer. Though I go by Nick most of the time. I actually prefer Nicholas, but I've resigned myself to the fact that most people are just going to call me Nick anyway, so I embraced it.

Why not? I already ask people to credit me with my real name on my graphics thread.

My name is Colin.

Though my name doesn't really lead to any shortened forms, I have a tendency to call someone whatever they introduce themselves to me as. I have a friend who introduced himself to me as Thomas, but a lot of others call him Tom. Eventually, I asked him what his preference was and he didn't really care, so I just continue to call him Thomas. I find it kind of awkward when people take it upon themselves to call you something you don't use. I'll use my mom as an example - whose name is Susan. The amount of people who, for whatever reason, decide to call her Sue (and if only they knew that she hates that name and is just too shy to correct them) when she outright introduces herself as Susan, is just plain annoying. /minirant  B)

The only people who call me Nicholas are my parents, grandparents, and one ex-girlfriend. Even my wife calls me Nick.

David, but the sad part is that I can't find a joke to go with this.

Edit: (If some visited my site before, you would know that one of my game character's name is David... I would call him something different but since I've been drawing games and comics on paper dating back to elementary school about the same character, it just feels wrong to change it)

Any reason you prefer Nick? I'm also a resident Nicholas, but I prefer Nick to the point that I have a credit card that says "Nick" instead of Nicholas. I'm really just curious what your motivation is, seeing as my motivation is pretty much the exact opposite. :)
