Hello everyone,

I recently purchased RPG Maker VX Ace along with several resource packs to use for something I've been working on. It's a project which wasn't originally intended for RPG Maker, though I am interested in seeing how it might work. I don't play many games anymore though I've always enjoyed the older 2D-style RPG's, so once I found out about (or rediscovered) RPG Maker, it seemed like a really exciting way to bring the project to life by adapting it through this medium. When I looked into it I remembered having it for Playstation 2 several years ago, though I may not have understood all of its functions I still had fun and even made a simple version of The Hobbit.

That being said, I'm still looking through and learning about the new program as well as the different sections of this forum, but I figured this would be the proper place to introduce myself as well as a bit about what I am working on. I am called Sol and I will be using RPG Maker on a touch-screen notebook computer which I use to produce, among other things, some digital artwork & music. The project I've been working on is called PUREACT, it started as a screenplay but has transitioned into a multi-platform development. I've also published material for PUREACT and completed the recent NaNoWriMo challenge while writing for it.

I won't post much about it here since there may be a more appropriate place to do so, but it's about a remnant society formed from survivors of an ancient civilization who are faced with destruction as their sun is dying and will soon engulf their planet. During their final moments, an ancient prophecy is revealed which holds the keys to their ascension. The prophecy unfolds like a mythological epic which spans through vast expanses of time wherein the mysteries of - who they are, where they're from, and where they're going - are revealed. In this case, the player relives the accounts of the epic by embodying various avatars who seal their fate.

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to being involved with the current RPG Maker community and interacting with You all while I continue with this project. I recently participated in an RPG Maker event, The Sci Fi Pitch Contest, and I don't know there are terms on sharing entries though I wouldn't mind sharing about my entry for PUREACT. I will share more as the progress continues and engage in other great projects and material being shared here as well!
