That's what I did, but I can screenshot step by step to prove it

See the problem? I feel like I'm literally doing what is supposed to be done; I tried the other releases too.
Perhaps the dev console would help.
If running from within RMMZ itself (as it appears you are), you'll probably have also noticed a second window pop up behind the playtest window. If for some reason it has not, then hitting F12 should bring it back up. Assuming it is available, choosing the "console" tab would likely have some kind of red error. What does that reveal?

On the other hand, if such a window is never available to you for some reason, the breadth of my troubleshooting knowledge ends there.

    The log showed up

I'm not sure how to go about resolving this error based on the some of the lines listed in the image above. Allow us to take a moment and look together at what exactly that line is that your log window reflects:

    1658611337867.png

Line 841 of the J-Base.js plugin.

If I had to take a stab in the dark, I'd guess that the nodejs version possibly being leveraged in the default RMMZ is behind enough that private functions are not yet available or something? While "it works on my machine" I'd also guess is because I am a developer and possibly RMMZ is leveraging my own higher installation of nodejs?

If that was not the case, the only other possibility I could fathom would be that maybe the stuff getting downloaded by you is somehow getting malformed- perhaps a redownload would resolve it?

Other than that, I'm not sure how else I can aid.
  4. That honestly sucks, this was something I wanted to try out, it looked really neat. :/

I already downloaded this many times, just look at my recycling bin.

Well thanks for trying to help, I guess.

  5. I just downloaded the chapter 3 and it works fine. but a question for @Mustardcap
What folder are you in when you you load the project in RMMZ?
There is no Game.rmmxproject file in there.
and the screen you showed for the map in the editor, I don't see that in the project.
Are you downloading the demo and then opening your project?
  6. I'm confused, what do you mean? I showed all the steps I did.

I also just grabbed the one from the link in the last page and yes it is the same as what you have.
I tested it and there is no problems.
What version is your engine running?

I downloaded the one you did and I got the same file, but nothing RPG Maker can open. The other one had a file RPG maker could open, but it wouldn't run when I tried to start the application.

The exe downloaded from this works fine, so I can play the game. But if I open the demo, in the editor, and try to playtest or deploy it, I get the same error.

I've tried a few different version and 1.3.0 and below give an error, 1.3.2 and up work fine.
Are you on windows or MAC or Linux?
  15. Try to update your version, there's a new one.
And those people who have issue for downloading, you can follow my steps:
    1) Go to the link: https://github.com/je-can-code/ca/tree/chapter-3
    2) There's a green one "Code", click it and download a zip

    2.PNG
    3) After you downloading, try to extract the zip file, and it will become like this:
    3.PNG
    4) You can now edit your map, skills, actors, etc... Also, you can play demo.

This is a windows, I don't know it will work for MAC or Linux.
if it's editor, it will work windows, MAC (Linux not sure about it), but if some export to the game, windows should work, but MAC I don't know if it works or not.

Mine is Windows, I update a new version for like 2 months, and it's working for me.
