My player wont move after door event (player transfer)

  1. Im currently creating a combination pokemon game, and im kind of new to this program and ive run into an issue. Ive watched numerous tutorials on door events and ive followed them step by step and i still have this problem.

    The problem is that after my door animation has run through and ive successfully transferred to the other map, my player is unable to move. He can turn and face all directions, but he cant move (it makes the sound as if he is bumping into something). Now, I have spent a couple hours researching and trying to fix this and i havent found anything that works. The script im using is identical to the one in the tutorial. The tileset that the player is being transferred to is set to passable and it has the star with the 5 next to it in the top left corner. ive tried putting through ons and offs in my script and none of it works. Your help would greatly be appreciated!!!!!!

    NOTE: When I change the transfer location to another spot outside, it works perfectly, which leads me to believe that its the inside tileset, but i just cant figure out what it would be. ALSO: ive noticed that all of the other maps that came with Pokemon Essentials (a base for games) also have this problem when entering a house.

  2. I can't actually read the events, the screenshots are too small.


    Are you sure that the player is standing on is passable, or the tiles around it (even an event set to same as player can block it)? Because that's the sole reason why you can turn the player, but not move it.
  3. im almost positive that they are passible, but i could be wrong. here are some screenshots of the tiles that my player is getting stuck on

  4. Ok question, you said 'script', I assume you mean event. I want to see what event you're using before and after the transfer, if there is an event running it may be preventing your player from moving if the event is set to 'Autorun'. 
  5. I attached the event a copy to the first post, but I think it is too small to read. I'll post bigger pictures when I get home in 10 minutes.

  8. UPDATE: I switched the tileset to the outside tileset and put grass down in the house and i was able to walk on it, so clearly the problem is the indoor tileset. No matter what tile i put down from that tileset, i can walk on it. How do i fix this?
  9. ANSWERED: turns out in all my haste to find out what was wrong, i changed the upper left hand tile to unpassable. i did this before changing the unpassable tile that my transfer spot was on and never changed it back. Thanks for your help! i feel quite stupid haha
