[MV] Yanfly's BattleEngineCore not working with Mog_BattleCamera

  1. Was wondering if anyone else is using both yanfly's plugin's and the Moghunter plugins together. I have been going down the list and trying to integrate them but the Mog_BattleCamera plugin doesn't seem to work with the BattleEngineCore from Yanfly. Using them together offsets/reverses the click to target, for example when targeting enemy 2 with the mouse it selects enemy 3 and vice versa.

    Turning off the Moh_BattleCamera fixes the issue but I really like the BattleCamera plugin. It seems Mog's battle engine plugins do a lot of the same things that Yanfly's does, should I exclude the Yanfly battleenginecore plugins completely in favor of Mog's?
  2. I've heard that Moghunter and Yanfly's plugins don't often play nice with each other. I'd focus on one or the other.
  3. shock has the right of it. Lot of incompatibility there.

    I find changing which one is first/last will resolve this. Sometimes.
  4. @shockra @Grunwave I guess I am the only one who DOESN'T have incompatibility issues when using both Yanfly and Mog together then?
  5. Oh gawd, the ambiguity of double negatives.

    I am currently using 14 MOG plugins and around 25 YEP.

    All of my MOG are below my YEP.
  6. Well... this is my first attempt to merge the Mog and yanfly plugins into a hybrid. A LOT of the two seperate lines of plugins do the exact same thing except Mog makes some of the little bells and whistles easier to setup (from my noobile perspective). I currently have quite a few of them working fine together but the Moghunter "scene" plugins don't work at all with yanfly's advanced menu's. I have the main menu working alright though, and the batttle HUD (for the most part). Still tweaking stuff in PS but ill link a few screenshots from my 16:9 game and my plugin list thus far...

    I've been messing around with it for a couple of days and you can see by some of the Madoka Magica art in the battle menu's how far I've come with the UI. =P

    Here is my Plugin list so far. Note that I haven't attempted activating or testing the section of Moghunter plugins that begin with "Mog_AnimatedText" and ends with "Mog_Weather_EX". Keep in mind that I had to make a lot of small tweaks, usually in the form of turning off certain Yanfly settings in his plugins (such as the BattleCore) that mimicked Mog's effects.

    Currently the only really bad issues I'm having are:

    * Moghunter's ATB plugin - The third and fourth party member don't seem to be getting their turn correctly or are FAR to slow to act.
    * Moghunters Battle Transitions Plugin - There is a strange see though black screen that appears between the end of the battle transition and the start of battle that isn't there in Mog's demo. I also cannot find a means of escaping with the ATB system active, although i can't in the demo either so its probably just me.
    * Moghunters Battle Camera plugin - For some strange reason it is reversing or off setting the mouse-over targeting on enemies. This may be due to my changing the resolution of my game, however (not tested yet).

    Edit: Just for those who might be interested I'll post a few of the issues I have come across after some more extensive testing.

    * YEP_X_MessageBackLog conflicts with MOG_BattleTransitions creating a transparent screen between the end of the battle transition and the beginning of combat.
    * YEP_BattleEngineCore has paradoxical effects on Moghunters mouse over targetting (Mog_BattleCursor) and seemingly delays or negates the actions of the third and fourth party member when the Mog_ATB plugin is active (is this why Yanfly discontinued his ATB plugins?). Apparently its not something that can be fixed through the BattleEngineCore plugin settings. Disabling the mouse-over setting (and using the targeting window instead) allows you to play with the ATB but the delay is still there for the fourth party member.
    * YEP_CommonEventMenu creats a green line graphic in the top left hand corner of the Mog_BattleHud window during battle transitions when the Mog battletransition plugin is being used.
