Wondering what kind of problem that I have. So my father went and got the save file for me and I loaded it onto another P.C. Everything seems to be in order. But I hit test play and just a black screen. Nothing else. Now, I have Himeworks, plugins for putting my logo on the screen. Switched it for The default made for MV plugin -nothing.
Now, curiously enough, on the Steam options screen, it does not give the option to switch Betas. Anyhow, maybe it's also a driver issue.
MV won't load the Test play for me.

What version of the editor have you, and which version of the core is in your project?
There are two common causes for this type of error:
1) if the editor is at version 1.6.1 but the project is not yet updated to the same version
Project updates are always manual for a lot of reasons, they never happen automatically
2) if you added plugins with a wrong or missing configuration, resulting in the game failing to initialise the plugins correctly.
just make a quick test:
if you make a new project with the editor, can you playtest that new project?
if yes the problem is somewhere in your project, if not then something has damaged your editor and you need to reinstall it correctly.
EDIT:
if your steam program properties do not show the beta tab, then most likely something in steam has damaged the program.
Clear steam download cache (very important!!!) and then deinstall and reinstall the editor in steam (you can't reinstall with the cache damaged, steam will do nothing and pretend everything is OK if you try that with a damaged cache) -
Ok. So I don't know which version this is. I made this project on version 1.5.1 which I kept. It loaded a sample project that I made just fine. Still, not showing any betas.
EDIT :How do I clear the Steam cache? -
you can check the editor version in the about menu, to check the project version you need to open the project's rpg_core.js file with a text editor.
as for how to clear steam cache, please search the steam help. -
Did all of that. Still can't get back to version 1.5.1

Thank you so much. The issue was solved. The problem was the version numbers. Actually my dumba** didn't even load the beta numbers before installing it,so there wasn't even a need for the cache.
Anyway, game works now. Yay! -
