  1. Hello RPG Maker staff.

I do have a suggestion. I have a steam version of MV and your latest update overwrited my generator parts, now it's all messed up and parts I had put in are gone. My Steam games have auto-updates to them...it's all normal. Do you know how many hours I spent pickup up all the generator parts I wanted and renamed them to put it in my Generator folder..

Thanks for wasting my time and my generator.
  2. That's less of a suggestion and more of a complaint....

I'm sorry that the update messed up your setup, but why be so aggressive about it?
  3. You know, considering you still have the parts downloaded renaming them shouldn't be too much of an issue. Monotonous sure, but hey.

Also, what IS your suggestion by the way?
  4. There is no need for a suggestion. What if I replaced some of the codes in your game through an update..Generator parts should be separate and you choose the ones you want, I don't have a need for all the ones that are out there, less the ones I haven't picked in the first place
  5. But you start off with:

your acting like the RPG maker staff are the ones that edited your generator. Steam did that. All the Characters you have already made are not changed are they? I have the same Problem parts I put in have been replaced but they are not that hard to fix. Also I feel you are being a bit Rude the way you are wording things. Its understandable you are upset but comments like " Thanks for wasting my time and my generator." don't help anyone solve the problem.

By default sure they are but you could've always turned it off especially if you added content or edited the default folder in the first place.

We have mentioned at the start of the year that there are going to be updates, including generator parts.

    - Additional parts for the Character Generator (around 40~50% of current contents). Our intention is to increase the age range of characters that can be created with the Character Generator, so you can make characters that aren't just young and pretty.

And you are aware that generator parts have to be numbered. We have no responsibility to assume you edited the generator and didn't make a backup of such edits. You had plenty of time to have been prepared for this. We also have said time and time again that Wednesday Updates is just a temporary freebies to wait for the real major updates.

That is in your Steam News Feed for RPG Maker MV. Steam also notifies you of news feeds if you allow it.

If there is going to be updates, then the DEFAULT FILES in the ROOT FOLDER OF THE MAKER of course will be replaced and updated. It is your responsibility as a user to have expected this when you added content or edited the files in the first place.
