This is my first request, I suppose... It's concerning a problem I've been having for a while, but one I managed to overlook for some time before coming back to it.
Quite a few scripts I've been using seem only to come close to solving this, but not exactly there... I guess someone can help? It would be much appreciated if someone could!
My request is to make a character state that is, in essence, to reflect physical attacks with the half of the damage inflicted. It's quite silly that I haven't solved this yet, myself... The main script I'd try was Element Reflect by Yanfly, which I did, but that contradicts with the attack being physical because the script only seems to apply to magical attacks and also makes the attack base itself on magic evasion rate rather than hit rate (as I had set the physical attack(s) to have a Magical Attack hit type). It also changes the sound effect of the reflection (since it's relative to the 'magic reflection' sfx in the System tab of the Database). I'm not even sure if I'm missing something here. >.<
In hopefully the most basic terms, I'm attempting to replicate 'Counter' from MOTHER 3 which is a physical (counter-attack) version of the general Magic Reflect that VX Ace gives in terms of half damage.
Perhaps someone can share a script that alters the way the current counter-attack system works to work just like the Counter skill in MOTHER 3? If there's really something I'm missing here, while this has gone on for months without rectification, then I'm really sorry for being a clutter. T_T

P.S. Oops, it went over the top of my head when writing this... is it possible that a magic reflection state like PSI Counter has the same effect, too (half of damage received is reflected)? That might be more likely to find online somewhere, but I haven't found that at all either... My project and I would be happier if this was solved as well! Thank you!
