  1. Hello. I am working on a game as a monthend challenge with myself. I am gonna say that I am in a rush, and want the sprites completed in end of Dec.

    Sprites needed

    Here are the actors.

As you noticed, every actor have double clothing. I also want the double sprites for each character. I know that's painful, but you can also use some pieces from Crazy_Leen's thread to make the sprites more easier. Remember it's size is zoomed, as a tip - Zoom out the sprites, make clothes and hairs, then when finished.. zoom in and paste, save, your done!

    Style

I am creating my game using Crazy_Leen's retro style, here are the templates.

    Examples

    Current List

Pink Girl / Warrior Form - Done

Glasses Boy / Warrior Form - Done

Limehaired Guy / Warrior Form - Done

Brownhaired Girl / Warrior Form - Done

Thank you very much in advance~
  2. I decided to give this a shot

Only had time to do one pose, and chose the first costume for pink haired lady. Tell me what you think, and if you think something should be changed tell me.

  3. That's cute, but I as I told the sprites are zoomed, and one pixel size is bigger here.
  4. Ah, I thought something was a bit off putting on some of the shading while I was working on it. I take it that crazy leans resource will have the correct size? It looks like to me their the same, I checked in the image editor I am using.
  5. Let me tell you the details~

    I'll start with this sprite:

I want to make hairs for him, but I noticed that pixel is doubled - what I'll do.

    Zoom out the sprite.

    Make the hair.

Zoom in the sprite to it's orignial size when done.

    That's all. ^^
  6. Well I get it, but I think it'd be simpler to just fix the doubled shading in the original size. That being said I will get rid of what double you see on pink haired lady.

There, this is what I gathered. Going to finish up her last poses.

    Spoiler
  7. Did you zoomout the sprite first? It's looks fine in that picture, but not when seen officially.
  8. CorneredCosmos, you're completely misunderstanding the entire double pixel thing. Use Evan Moonkid's "zoomed out" sprite as the base instead and pretend the normal one doesn't exist.
  9. No I did not, due to me lacking the knowledge on how to zoom out sprites. I'll figure out how to, and see what I can do.
  10. Simply use the zoom tool.
  11. @Evan Moonkid: I'm not sure what program you're using. Most zoom tools don't resize anything.

@CorneredCosmos: You need to reduce the image size by 1/2 and make sure the program doesn't resample the image while reducing it. For Photoshop that would be "nearest neighbor". Once you're finished you just double the image size, making sure once again that the program doesn't resample or attempt to blend anything.
  12. I am using Paint Tool SAI, it has zoom out feature.

When I zoom out, I just simply press the "Prnt Scrn" key and paste it, start drawing then zoom in, press "Prnt Scrn" key again + removes white BG and paste.. all's done.

Anyways, I tried making the sprites by myself.

    Spoiler
Still, you can try on another character. :)  But.. as the time is too short and I noticed no one's helping, I tried making most of the sprites by my own self.

Edit Now.. all done. Thanks to CorneredCosmos for taking interest.
