My game has over-world monsters, and in one section they are "hidden" in thorny hedges, and come flying out at you. This is done just with two events, the monster event having a blank page to begin with, and then another event to walk over that triggers the monster's next page where it will come out and chase you.
However, I just found that if you defeat a monster in an area, then go save at the designated save spot, when you reopen the game the monsters that you had triggered to come out and then killed will be out and about.
Is there any way around this?

A blank 3rd event page and a self-switch to it after the "Battle Processing" should work.
If you ever do want them to respawn though, use a regular switch instead so you can turn it off from another event when you are ready.
If however, you simply want them to go back into hiding in the hedges you can replace the 3rd event page and switch/self-switch with simply turning off the switch that made them change to the second event page in the first place.
