Monster issues

  1. I'll start off by saying I'm new and have been reading tutorials, but nothing in them covers two issues I've run across. With the likelihood of these being answered, a direction to the thread will be appreciated. The first issue are the random encounters on my world map, I've set zones for it, but whenever a battle involving the slimes commences, there are no slimes and it ends automatically. The hornets themselves still show up. I'm not sure what could be cause this.

My second issue involves the BGM. Being a musician, I want to use my own music for the game, I've been able to change the music for everything except the battle music, in which it plays the same theme for each battle; again a point in the right direction would help.

Thank you for your time and help!

  2. The database has a system tab where you can change the music for the tile screen, battles, game over et cetera. Is that the one you're looking for?
  3. Can you post a screenshot of your slime troop for us?
  4. First did you make sure to include slimes into the battle troops? Second you can randomize the battle music either through a script or variables.

What you see in the random encounter list is only the name for the troop. The real content and definition of the troop is in the database.
And your error looks like you use a troop named "slime*2" that does not contain any enemies...
  6. I've moved this thread to VX Ace Support. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

Yep, seems you may have deleted your two slimes from the Slime * 2 slot in your Troops tab.
  7. Yep, that fixed it, thanks guys you all rock! I have a plethora of tutorials to go through yet as well as learn the ruby language.
  8. This thread is being closed, due to being solved. If for some reason you would like this thread re-opened, please report this post and leave a message why. Thank you.
