  1. I've been using VX Ace for a while and I've decided to make the switch to MV. Just downloaded it and it doesn't have a menu bar!

Edit: the problem wasn't with the graphics card or display driver as suggested by the person below, it wasn't that complicated! I fixed it by simply changing the resolution.
  2. Anyone?
  3. it's most likely a problem with a setting of your display driver.
something like this was reported a year or two before by someone and they found the solution, but I don't remember the details. had to do with the settings for primary and secondary display cards.

Thank you so much for replying!

I searched all over the forums for a solution before making this thread and couldn't find anything.

I don't know anything about display drivers or display cards, I'm feeling so frustrated and helpless about this right now. If there's any way you could explain what you mean by "setting of your display driver" I would be very grateful!
  5. most display drivers today haver their own control software that can be used to set advanced options for the driver - options that go far beyond what windows itself can do.
You need to start that program and look inside its options, that's where the solution is.

I can't go into more details because there are dozens of these programs and I don't know which one came with your graphic card.

My graphics card is Intel, but it just came with my laptop I don't have any special software for it.

Thanks for your help so far.

yes, you have - it is always installed with the display driver. you might not know that you have it, but I can guarantee that you have it - because you can see something on your screen, can you?
and yes, it was exactly an intel card that had that problem, so you'll just have to start the program for the display configuration that is already installed on your computer.
If you can't find it, then ask the help of a friend that has more computer knowledge. That is not something we can guide you through on the internet, it has to be done by someone sitting at your computer.
