  1. I was searching for a members' posts by using the members' tab and the "more options' button, into which I typed Indra, Ind, Indrah, In, and a host of other possibilities and never did it bring up Indra!

Am I a dunce or is the feature not working as expected?

I searched for evileagles on the chance that it was becasue indrah is in Members+ (and evilE is an early adopter+) and his name did not come up either. FWIW.
  2. Strange, I just tried and got the same problem. If you use the global search (Top left) you can find her, but the "More Search Options" seems to be broken or something. Unless we're both Dunces.

    Edit:

I just checked... Indrah isn't in the "Member's List". Not under "I" anyways.

Edit2: I just did a search by Posts. Indrah has 263, so I searched for users with more than 262 posts... but again... She isn't there. The only cause I could see... is that Member+ members are removed from the list for some reason.

I'm not sure if this contributes to the discussion, but from time to time, I see people posting but their user name is not reflected to the left. If I recall correctly, where you would expect to see their name, it appears as "Member", "Registered User" or something like that. Perhaps it's an issue with the database?

  4. members+ don't appear on the members list, or something like that. i've talked about it with nate a few times before—supposedly the reasoning is that they want to hide the amount of members+ that the forums have.
  5. thanks for the 'splain, needles.

although it seems a little o_0 that you cannot find a person if you want to using search - I mean, what if they haven't posted in two years and you are looking for something they said or a =] resource they shared.

Am I missing some other way to locate posts for these =D secret-agent members?

You can still find her using the Global search field at the top left. Just change the table to "Members" and search.
  7. haha! the work-around appears!

    thanks.
  8. I tried this too. Not really a fan of member searching. But are there any plans of providing a permanent fix on this? Not sure though on how much time and effort this would require.

First I've heard of that explanation.

Oh now don't go and squash a perfectly good conspiracy theory!!! =D

Anyways, from my end, problem solved. I'll use the other search feature.
  11. Yeah, update... I just got Member+ yesterday, and lo' and behold, I am no longer in the Member list. It'd be interesting to know why... not that it's overly important.
  12. Heh, this is prolly the easiest thing to fix. A box is most likely ticked that shouldn't be. Admin or Nate if you are looking for it go here:

ACP>Member Groups>Manage Member Groups>Member+>Hide this group from member list? (Middle of the page) 'Tick' no.

I know how to fix it, I just want to make sure it was unintentional before changing it. Also, you missed a level its Member+>Group Settings>Hide this group from member list?

... Why do people think we are clueless?

It's not clueless, mistakes happen. The ACP is a big place no need to get defensive -at all- I was just trying to help. Lesson learned.

EDIT: It wasn't to long ago that I reminded you to tick the 'edited by' button and you thanked me for reminding you. Now... now you get defensive.
  15. And its fixed. Not sure why it was set that way, but now it should work fine.
