how do I have the game switch to a completley different charecter, with different items in there inventory, and yet still have the game remember what was in the main inventory when i switch back to it?

You could try tsukihime's party manager, it has that feature I believe (if not that, one of it's add ons have it)

is that an add-on for rpg maker vx ace?

a custom script by Tsukihime. if ur just new, I suggest getting the hang of the program first by trying out the easy stuff and following basic tutorials (like Andar's beginner's guide)

I'm already used to the program. (thoug still relativly new) so I want to move onto the more advanced stuff
