  1. Great job, @Avery! Another fantastic tutorial that I'm sure will be of great help to many. :)
  2. I am reading everything right now!
Thank you so much @Avery :)
  3. Thank you two!

Since people asked for forests and towns and I had the idea of a starting village tutorial, I kinda combined them all into one about a starting forest town :) There is probably a lot more to say and I am happy to hear your feedback and answer your questions!
  4. Thank you, @Avery for the tutorial and validating me. I do think about worldbuilding while mapping too. I am so happy you think the same. I am jusy finished reading it.

If the town self-reliance or like trading more?
Now, I am expanding if it is a trading route, how safty? It is full of bandits wait to attack the visitor or the community has a security units to protect to the traders.
Is the forest town having its own currency, use international currency, or use a bartering trading?
  5. @Avery A very nice tutorial. I'm particularly glad that you stressed how important it is that the town has a purpose, and then used that purpose to show how it affected the whole design of the map. An excellent worked example.
  6. It's a well-written tutorial. Quite helpful. :)

I do hope you'll make one about forests (dungeons) though, as I find it hard to make that look good.

Oooh yeah, my first dungeon in my game is going to be a forest, definitely a good suggestion.
  8. I am feel really bad for the my jungle/rainforest, tundra, and desert friends now. I hope the other loveable climate will be explore as the subjects in the future too. The diverse geological climate believe with make the maps beautiful. Thank you for reading my little suggestion.
  9. Well for desert I have a very good advice:
    Select sand
    click fill
    done!

    For Tundra:
    Select snow
    click fill
    done!

Nah, just kidding. We can surely tackle different bioms as well^^
Is there anything you guys would like to see besides mapping?
  10. I love your tutorial @Avery! Both your tutorials will definitely help me improve my mapping skills. Thanks a lot! :):)
I often wonder how you do your amazing RTP styled art that matches so perfectly! I've been trying my hand at drawing recently and really struggle sometimes when trying to figure out where to put the shadows to make it look 3d and realistic. Although an art tutorial is probably not related to the RPG maker engines enough...
Anyway, keep up the good work with the tutorials! Now I've got something to watch out for during the week.:D
  11. @Avery, you should consider a comedian as an alternative career. That is funny. Ahmmm, before we here are too demanding upon your abilities. Please state your abilities. I know you can draw, color, and create the art assets. I know you can teach us how to make maps. Yeah please inform us a little more.....
Thank you for wanting hear our suggestions.
