Engine: XP or VX Ace
Synopsis: A Pokémon game taking place in the Kalos region which was the first region to change drastically from 2D graphics to full 3D graphics. Essentially, I want to create a 2D version of Pokémon X & Y (and call it Z?). However, the storyline would be quite different by offering a more mature storyline, new mechanics, and other things.
The gameplay features include what is standard for most Pokémon games along with some unique things:
- Catching Pokémon and raising their level via battling for experience points.
- The player would earn badges (but hopefully via other methods besides gym battles).
- Mega Evolution and Z-Moves can be included.
- Possibly Poke Rides like in the newest games.
- New items that offer new effects.
- Pokémon following the trainer.
- Capture Legendary Pokémon.
- Incorporating Pokémon Amie ?
- Route trainers battled will be different from official games.
- Find random rare event Pokémon to add to your party.
- All Pokémon available in the wild, as gifts, or via events.
- Custom music.
I already have a Tileset the mapper can use but the mapper can use a different one or add-on/modify the Tileset I already have.
Not only that, but I have links to various resources/images the mapper can follow with as they map the Kalos region.
My Role(s)/Position(s): I would be responsible for all the other maps which includes inside of buildings, caves, forests and the like. I would also be responsible for all other aspects of gameplay.
So again, I am essentially looking for a mapper who will basically have most things already “set up” for them. The mapper is certainly welcome to add their own ideas to some extent (within reason). And no knowledge of Pokémon is even needed ! So if you just like mapping, then hopefully you are interested and may be willing to lend a hand !
