no, we will not watch the video.
A lot of the very helpfull people here on the forum are on limited bandwidth, so forcing them to use up their bandwidth for a video is a very bad idea, you better write a description.
from your title alone and without watching the video, I can think of two things that might cause problems here:
either you're using the buggy 1.6.0 and should update your editor to 1.6.1 as fast as possible, or your windows crashed while the editor was open and in that case you'll need to replace damaged files from your last backup.
describe your problem and we can give better instructions on how to repair it. -
"So, I woke up this morning, turn on my project, and this happened. Tried overwriting MapInfos.json with my backup a week ago, doesn't change anything. Tried deleting it, and it goes error."
Copied from their description.
If mapInfos.json is corrupted, then apart from replacing it with last backup there's not too much you can do, since there's no other way to fix corrupted files. -
if ONLY the mapinfo.json is corrupted and you have no backup, you can partially reconstruct it with a new project.
Create a new project, add empty maps to the new project until it has the same number of maps as your original project and then copy the mapinfo file only from the new project to the defective one - do not copy any other map file.
After that you'll be able to access your maps again, but you'll have to resort them manually.
and then make a good backup of your data to prevent a repeat. -
And make sure your MV is closed when you do the copy. No use copying it over while you still have the editor open, because it won't read the file, and when you save, it'll replace what you just put in there.
