Many things to ask, need help.

Okay, so I downloaded Khas Awesome Light and the Falcao Pearl ABS, and I wanted to know how I would use both in unison? See, I'm trying to make a Dark Souls-esque type game, and I need the dark, the lights, and the battle system to make it all work. Plus, I need tilesets that would fit the style. Anyone have suggestions for those? And lastly, I'm an absolute noob at this, and haven't the slightest idea where to start other than map design. I don't even know how to insert an enemy onto the playing field. I want to achieve something like Kentaro-Su's Forsaken Souls, but I haven't the slightest clue how they even pulled that off. Can anyone give me a rundown of what I need, or links, or tutorials, or, anything at all to help? I really want this game made, just because I know it'll be amazing if I can figure it all out.

Can you provide a link to each script (preferably the forum post or blog article where they're presented, not to the scripts themselves) to make it easy for people to look them up?


Have you TRIED to use them both in the same project? Have you run into problems? They MAY just work together by default. Make sure you read ALL the comments at the top of the scripts to see if there are any specific setup requirements or warnings about script incompatibilities.


Also, please keep your discussions to one topic per thread. If you need resources, start a new thread in the Resource Requests forum. If you need help making your game do something (that isn't related to scripts), ask for that in the VX Ace Support forum. Makes it MUCH easier to keep things organized, and know what's been answered and what you still need help with.
