Alright so back in my RPG Maker XP days there was this nifty feature where you could have a bazillion maps. Like any rpg maker game. And this nifty feature made it feel like they were all 1 big map, whilst in reality they were like a bazillion. You would go to the north border of the map right? And you could SEE another map even though it wasnt part of the map you were on. And in rpg maker vx ace, I heard about this as well. How you could do the same. And as you switched maps you would KNOW it because in the top left, it would show the name of the new map if so chose it to. How can I do that? thanks!
Making one big map. How do I do it?

Are you asking for the display name function of maps? And transfer events? I think that's what you're asking about, but I'm not quite sure. If I'm wrong, please elaborate on what you want.

Open up RPG maker, right click your map file, use map properties, set the size.
Proceed with mapping like any other map. we cant really tell you HOW to make a map because that's something creative, but there are tutorials oh how to make a map look nice. -
I think he means "no load" mapping. Make 50 interconnecting maps that transition mostly seamlessly to one another. Similar to some of the Zelda games.
To my knowledge there is not an option to do that in VXAce. Not sure if it would be possible with scripts? -
I don't know if this is what you are looking for or not. http://www.himeworks.com/2013/03/17/connected-maps/
And maybe this with it? http://www.himeworks.com/2013/03/17/area-maps/
I'm sorry if this isn't what you are looking for, I haven't used these scripts. I just remembered seeing them and thought they might help. -
Just set your transfer points a few tiles in from the edge of the map (if you don't want the player to move from the center of the screen, make sure the transfer points are at least 10 tiles in from the edge), then ensure the two connecting maps have the same tiles along those edges.
