  1. Good morning everyone! I have been playing with gimp and can already do the task I'm needing but there has to be an easier way. I am wanting to get tiles from the medieval town and country set. Make a new tileset and place the tiles I want into it. I can already do this by loading an existing tile set and erasing everything. Also how big can I make a tile set? Some of them have scroll bars so was just wondering the limit so I can max out and lastly I am not making any auto tile sets at the moment so can I use sets that arent auto tiles for A 1-5? I would like to have mayb just a grass, brick, tree auto tile and the rest of the tile sets to be premade buildings from the fantastic building pack. My main goal is density here. I want to use a lot of premade items to make building faster but they take up soooooo much room....
  2. No, auto tiles have to go in sheets A1-A4. A5 are not autotiles, so you can put things there, but they will need to fill the whole tile space and they will appear on bottom.

MV B-E tilesheets are 768x768 (I’m pretty sure, might check the help to make sure I’m right). You cannot make them larger.
  3. GIMP's grid function helped me a lot when I was working with that tileset in order to make custom animated doors.
You need to go to Image > configure grid and make it so it's 48 x 48 pixels. Then go to View > View Grid to see it. It doesn't stick to your image when you export it, so don't worry about using it!
  4. I was trying to use the grid going to configure grid but could not find out why grid would not show up and every tutorial I found was an older version of gimp so grid worked a lil different. Thank both yall for the help!
