  1. Hey! So I was making a sprite based off of the Blackjack from Final Fantasy 6, and I ran into the issue of not being an artist/don't know how to represent a downward angle for this beast for when it is going up. And probably down, I haven't gotten that far yet. I am just starting out on this spriting/pixel art endeavor so any help would be greatly appreciated! Currently my 'Up' Airship kind of looks like some weird Gold and Onyx tiny headed bird... I will be adding propellers, but any other ideas?

I apparently forgot the propeller on that version of the side view...
  2. Hmm, I am now included to try to make this later (not tonight though, i'm tired).

As for advice, because the top is like a dome, I suggest having a a circular shadow gradient that covers it and becomes lighter in the center (to distinguish it is a dome. Also, I suggest having another gradient that goes --> this way to give it just a little more depth. As for the gold ring, I suggest making the out part of it dark to make it not look flat. I would also apply a little bit of noise to get it closer to looking the way the side view looks,
