  1. Hello! I was wondering if anyone would be able to help create this for me and anyone else in the future. I thought I'd request it since I couldn't find anything on google/this forum. Hopefully someone is kind enough to assist. Details below.

    Resource Type: Character Set

    Maker Format: RPG Maker MV

Art Style: Close to RPG Maker MV RTP as possible.

Description: For a long time, Wing-Chun practitioners (modernized and popularized by Wing-Chun Master Ip Man) have used wooden dummies for their Wing-Chun practice. These are wooden dummies that typically have extended "arms" with a body that also rotates when struck.

    Reference Images:
    Example Video:
    [embedded media]
(Popular video of Donnie Yen portraying Master "Ip Man" using it)

    [embedded media]
(Really good video of a Technical Breakdown)

http://www.gongfustore.com/product/tripod-wooden-dummy-2/ (The ideal version I'd like to have created).

Please let me know if I need more added here for reference or there's any questions. Ideally, I'd like this to be good for commercial and non-commercial purpose (so that others can use it besides myself).

    Thank you!
  2. Hello. Just bumping the topic. Really appreciate any help I can get for this request. If there's any questions, anything I can elaborate on (in case above is not enough) please let me know.
  3. Hello. Just bumping the topic. Please let me know if what I've provided so far is not enough information and I can elaborate more. At this point, I'm willing to take this as a tileset item that can be placed onto an existing tileset.

    Thank you for viewing this.
  4. I have some time today, so I'll see if I can put something together for you :)

Edit: Would something like this work? (Incomplete charset for now, but could also be placed in a tileset. It's a bit taller than 48 pixels, so it would need to go across two tiles.)

I'm not completely happy with it yet, so if you have any suggestions on how to improve it, they would be greatly appreciated :) I'll also try making one that's facing to the side once I have the front view nailed down.

I'm a complete novice to pixel art (still learning), but what you have already is much better than I could ever have envisioned. I think the only suggestion I could offer would be to maybe It could be a bit thinner at the base posts that connect to the ground. Otherwise, this is pretty much perfect to me.

Thank you very much for helping out and taking this on. I really appreciate it!

Do you mean the central post, or the ones that go off to the side / the front?

I'm glad you like it so far!
  7. In regards to the base, it's mainly the ones going to the side more than the front. The central base post (where most of the hitting/rotation happens) is right on point. Fantastic job.
  8. Is this what you meant?

I've also started on the side pose, any suggestions so far?
  9. Top sprite is good to go. Thank you!

For the Side sprite, absolutely love this. I like how you try and give the sprite some sort of 3-dimensional effect. Very nice.

Can't wait to see how the rest of it come together for the side and back poses.
  10. Sorry for the delay! Here's the rest of the poses:

I also made a color variant that's closer to the reference image:

  11. This, is absolutely amazing! Thank you very much for taking this on, LadyBaskerville. I am very honored that you have taken this on.
This request was definitely a little out there, but hopefully this resource can help others that are looking for something similar.

I will, of course, definitely credit you for helping with graphics/art inside my game.
  12. You're welcome! I'm glad you like it :)
  13. Your art is great!
Can these pictures be used in a commercial game?
  14. Thank you!
Yes, all the resources I have posted on this forum are free for commercial use.
