To get straight to the point- is there any way of creating a leveling system where players have control over their stat increases? It should work something like this: Player gains a level. An event pops up and asks them to choose one attribute. Once they have, that attribute is increased by so many points.
One strategy I have in mind is doing away with experience altogether. The downside is, of course, figuring out when to apply the increases and do so regardless of what map the player is currently on. (Common events? Scripts?)
I'm hoping to make this project a success, so any help will be greatly appreciated.

yes... try to find stat distribution scripts
though you can also event it in case you only need simple ones... Last time I did it, it's a matter of choices and number input boxes
