Legend of the Kaigan: Midnight's Shadow

An ogre attacks the farmlands of Okyami; sent to deal with the monster is a 42 year old boy, Uindo Ookami, Prince of Okyami City. Embedded within the monsters forehead is a chunk of a powerful ore called Potentia.

Later, taking a job to examine reports of a strange energy reading in the mountains east of Okyami City, Uindo and his two sisters, Akira and Areku, are confronted by a beautiful and mysterious woman who shows Uindo a vision of the future.

Widespread chaos and death beyond anything Uindo could have dreamed ensues. That night, Uindo is confronted deep in his subconscious by his greatest enemy, himself. Early the following morning, Uindo is called to a murder scene; a bloody massacre left as a message to Uindo. That is the day that Uindo and his sisters set out to the Yakeski lands to find out what is going on.

-World Development:

Alder is a land inhabited by the clans of the Kaigan, stronger, magically adept humans. There are also Elves, Shifters, Demons, and other beings.

In the west, the Ookami, who live in the largest territory of Alder with the most diverse terrain. Their capital city of Okyami stands as one of the largest in Alder.

To the east are the Yakeski. The Leviathan Ocean divides Yakeski from Ookami. The Yakeski territory is flat plains. Their capital city of Polis is build around their palace.

In the easternmost forests of Alder live the Nanuk, Shifters with powerful illusion magic. Rarely have outsiders seen their capital city of Dryadia.

Along the southern coast of the Laviathan Ocean, connecting Ookami and Yakeski by land, is home of the Ryuuguu, the Dragon’s Mountain Range. Deep in their caverns is the city of Darastrixi.

The Guren are a nomadic tribe of knowledge seekers from

south of the mountains in the great desert. The residents of the towns are mainly the young or the elderly.
