UPDATE: I added more tiles and condensed the image to one, from two. Now you can make entire icy lakes. I removed the swamp, lava, and rocky waters because of an oversight; I forgot that they're animated so having a secondary layer type for those just doesn't work (however the ice stayed because an animated frozen lake makes no sense). In their place I added grasslands, desert sand, and snow; now they can overlap without any dirt in between. I won't remove the previous files for those that still want them for whatever reason.
Previous fix
Even better!
What a cute little oasis. Eh? What do you mean there's already an oasis tile!?
Alternatively you could have entire islands with none of that brown dirt stuff.
Old:
Removed the sand/beach part for tiles, so now you can have something like an icy lake connect to the ocean. Just a small thing for you guys.
I had originally intended to provide samples of using just the added layers to make the lake, so there's no sand at all except for at the end of the river, but I hadn't realized how many more tile samples I'd need to edit. Maybe I'll do it later.
Just add the two images to your tilesets "D" and "E" and overlay them onto the normal map. All it really does is hide the gap of sand in between the two tiles.
This is really helpful! Didn't try out the world map really yet but the autotile problems always show up to me too.
I believe there was a way in RPG Maker XP to choose which piece of the autotile you wanted to use so that this problem could be solved in-engine, but I suppose that isn't included in MV? :(
The sandy part between the Icelake and the Seawater is gone in the last screenshot.
I think that was the main idea, that Ice and Water would be alongside eachother instead of with a patch of sand in between.
As for removing all the sand you could probably use these as well, but shiftmap the landmass.
