Kitty's Quest

Hey guys, it's EpicKitty88 with a quick preview of my game before I post it on the downloads page. It's a quarter of the way finished, but I took notes on my ideas so, yeah.

Plot: Kitty, leader of the Hunter Cat forest, is supposed to guard the Hunter Cats while Artemis, goddess of the hunt, is away to visit her family in Greece. But when a pack of wolves known as the Skylights attack and steak eight mystical jewels that power the cats' magic, Kitty and her fellow cats, along with the brave mare Mystic Hoof, must journey around four magical islands to find the gems and keep Hunter Camp from disappearing. As they do, they are being chased by the wolves and coyotes who make up the Skylights and the Nighthawks. Will the Hunter Cats find the jewels and return them safely? Or will the Skylights crush the jewels for good before they do?

Gameworld: There are five islands in the game. Hunter Island is where the cats live. The four islands on which the jewels are hidden are Rainbow Guardian Island, Kamisti, home to several spirits of both light and darkness, Mystiqua, the mystical island of the good and evil fairies, and Skyland, where pegasi and alicorns lived harmony until the birth of darkness. For a description of each, Hunter Island is covered in a thick forest on one half of the island, while the rest is grassland and has all the things cats could ever want: beds, houses, even a kitchen in the cafeteria where they can order what they want. Kamisti is the home to Light Spirit Leader Angel, Dark Spirit Leader Haze, and several dark and light spirits. Mystiqua is home to Good Fairy Queen Lily, Dark Fairy Queen Darkstar, and their fairy kingdom inhabitants. Skyland is a land in the sky where Sunset Dream and Nightmare Darkness rule over the pegasi and alicorns. (Nightmare Darkness is based on a Nightmare Moon avatar I found in a zip file I downloaded for my friend’s little sister. All I did was change the hue in Paint.NET, and she looks like a different character) The Rainbow Guardian island has seven different regions for each color. The Fallen Angel, a dark angel, is hiding there with one of the jewels.

Hey, if anyone wants me to post the Nightmare Darkness sprite on the Downloads page, just let me know and I'll be happy to upload it.

Today I'm going to record voices for the characters with Audacity. (Audacity allows me to remove the noise and adjust the sound for better quality) Each of the characters will have a unique voice, some with an Audacity pitch increase, others with an accent change (I have a great English accent voice disguise after two years of acting classes), and still others with both. I'm working on which character will have which voice. I already know that Mystic Hoof's voice is warm and gentle, yet a little stern, a lot like Charlotte from, of course, Charlotte's Web. (I don't have the DVD anymore) Whoa, how many time have I use parentheses? Anyway, more updates are on the way. If anyone want to know how I add the voices, just ask and I'll be happy to explain. I don't really have enough room in this box to put it here. Anyway, g2g, and moo.

What is it, RyanA? Does the idea of an edited MLP sprite not appeal to you? If so, I'll be happy to change the look of Nightmare Darkness.

I like this a lot. I'd certainly like to play it if when finished it is released with the RTP...I do not have a copy of XP or it's RTP so it would be nice.

Wow, looks like fun. It's funny how you mentioned Nighthawks. *Points to his name. I love anything about cats, and by the way, your cat looks very much the sam has mine. He's black with a bit of white on his chest, and has white feet. :p

Now for a little behind-the-scenes sneak peek: The original Kitty's Quest game had nothing to do with cats. Instead, Kitty was working with the Microsoft and Macintosh legions to defeat Linux Anna (a character created by YouTuber Wonka0111). That game has been renamed "The Fury of Macinsoft".
